Here’s how I’m feeling about a new year and Friday being here! Fresh starts are the best! I love the chance to think about what new goals I want to focus on. One thing never changes- I always want to focus more on family and loved ones. I had a panic moment realizing my oldest is turning 12 this year. We are almost to teenage years! Which means less time and all too soon she will be leaving the nest. Hug those babes and don’t forget to capture pictures with them along the way. The every day moments with the greasy hair and extra pounds and slept in sweatshirt you’ve been wearing 3 days straight. (Personal experience peeps!!) because when you have a minute of quiet you can look through those pics and remember how much you love them.

School is out! Wishing you the very merriest holiday break! Hope its so fun soaking up those you love most!

One week to go!! How you feeling? There are a few remaining things here but for the most part we’re there. It’s been fun to keep things a little more low key and just soak up unstructured time. Hope your Saturday lets you do some of that!

It’s Monday! That weekend went by way too fast. Trying to soak up each day of this holiday season and it won’t. slow. down. When I think about the things that matter most though, it’s the one on one moments like ☝️. Grabbing those people you love and having some unscripted times to laugh and giggle and connect.

I have a sweet spot for babies getting excited about new babies. This cutie’s response to what she loved about her mama? “She’s having another baby!!” Testament to how this mama rocks motherhood!

It’s December! Here’s to fun family traditions all month long that hopefully include some snuggles and kisses. I’m not an AZ native and am still looking for local Christmas gems. Comment if you have a favorite family tradition here!

This is why photographing littles is the best. You just never know what you’re gonna get but it’s always adorable and totally unscripted emotion. 😂

Not many sweeter things than babies loving babies. And sisters loving sisters. I have two amazing big sisters that I love so much. I always tell them I needed to come last so I could watch them and learn from them. They are incredibly kind and good and amazing mothers and women. I can’t wait to watch my one daughters grow in their love and friendship.

One of my favorite things about this job is getting to see all different kinds of families. There is no perfect family- just real, genuine people who care about each other and are trying to be there for each other.

We learn the biggest lessons in life from our families. Patience, forgiveness, empathy, working together, faith, and above all, love. Loving despite imperfections. Celebrating eachother as we all grow and learn together. It’s a beautiful thing and I’m so grateful for all the lessons that family holds. Thank you for trusting me to capture those dearest relationships. I’m so lucky!

Five years ago this beautiful baby girl entered our lives on the heels of Hurricane Sandy. She is such an incredible gift. She is the first to hug and kiss and do anything she can to help if someone is sad or upset. She is always smiling, singing, and dancing. She loves you even when you’re being mean. She is the greatest example of pure Christlike love, no matter what. We are so blessed to have her in our lives. I️ got teary eyed multiple times this week as I thought about her turning five and how that means next fall she will no longer be at home by my side all day. Good thing that’s nine months away. I love you little my little sunshine! No more growing ok?

This awesome nephew of mine has been serving on a voluntary mission in Ecquador for the last year. So proud of the sacrifice, service, and light he is sharing to those people!

I hope your Sabbath has been full of good happy moments with those you love most. I often feel like Sunday is one of my most stressful and wearing days. But as I lay here, finally with kids in bed, I think about the sweet giggles between siblings, the morning snuggle with my son, the happy jumps from my baby, the kids getting ready for their Dad's birthday in the morning- there has been a lot of good. Don't get me wrong- there's also been fighting, yelling - me included - and tears. But finding joy in those little happy moments in between the rest I think is what is important. Happy Sunday!

I adore this family! Shanae not only gives the most killer workouts I've ever had, she is a tender, sweet, active mama of (now 3!) adorable little boys. Her hubby is as kind as they come. I can't wait for our follow-up session this summer where Baby Tyce will get to make an appearance! These are just a handful of my favorite moments from our session.
