We’re excited to announce that B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team’s Age Group Coach, Peter Theodore, has accepted the position of Aquatics Manager.
Coach Peter started swimming competitively at the age of five. He swam for B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team throughout high school, where he qualified for and competed at several YMCA Nationals. Peter also swam for the Glenbard West/Glenbard South High School Co-Op team, serving as team captain and setting multiple program records. After high school, he went on to swim at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Coach Peter has several years of experience coaching and has worked with swimmers across all age groups. He previously coached for the Fort Atkinson Swim Team in Wisconsin and has been an integral part of our Swim Team as an Age Group Coach for the past year. He also brings valuable experience from teaching swim lessons and coaching stroke clinics at the Butterfield Park District.
We are thrilled to have Peter step into this new leadership role as Aquatics Manager while still guiding and inspiring our swim team as Age Group Coach!
Please join us in welcoming Peter to his new role!

CEO Rob Wilkinson and COO Kelly Coffey are in Madurai, India, as part of a coalition of YMCAs. This ongoing initiative focuses on mutual learning and the exchange of best practices between YMCAs globally.
Throughout the visit, the group is seeing firsthand the impactful work the Madurai YMCA is doing within its community. They are also sharing insights and successful strategies from YMCAs in the United States.
This trip is a significant step in strengthening our collaboration, fostering deeper connections, and empowering both our local and global communities. By working together, we are not only enriching our own programs but also contributing to the global mission of the YMCA – building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities around the world.
Thank you to all of the families who have participated in our Kona Ice Truck Fundraisers. Your participation has made a significant impact, as the proceeds from these events are donated to the Madurai YMCA's School for Hearing Impaired and Boys Orphanage.
