YWCA Glendale & Pasadena looks forward to Denim Day each April, as an opportunity to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and renew our commitment to challenging harmful behaviors and attitudes. Since 1999, the Denim Day campaign has empowered communities to raise awareness during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Every April 24, we come together to remember the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide, ensure that we honor their memory, and raise awareness about this tragic chapter in history. Our Girls' Circle embarked on an empowering journey last week to celebrate the incredible women who shape history and inspire us today. Partnering with the Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens , we explored "Borderlands," highlighting diverse perspectives in American art history.

Our girls reflected on the significance of recognizing female figures and discussing progress and challenges at Girls Circle. Inspired by their trip, they crafted heartfelt poetry honoring influential women in their lives.

Through art, reflection, and creativity, we celebrated the past, present, and future achievements of women everywhere. Here's to the remarkable women who shape our world! "
