As a kid we’d go on road trips and my mom would always tell me to look out the window. I’d do the typical kid thing and roll my eyes 👀 responding with ugh but it’s so boring.

As I get older, it’s a crazy turn of events because now all I want to do is look out the window and be inside of nature. It calms me.

THE PATH TO LOIL LIFE

In 2014 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after experiencing full sided numbness. Over the last 10 years, I have focused on choosing clean products beginning in the essential oil world, to support my own health journey, and have expanded my passions into herbalism and esthetics. All of these come together in the cultivation of our skincare line that upholds the cleanest values.

Initially my health journey prompted a new way of thinking. I didn't want to go down the road of traditional medicines for Multiple Sclerosis. Sticking myself with a needle wasn't my idea of of a good time. Essential oils, particularly Frankincense, is the reason for my success. It saved me.

I woke one morning with full sided numbness. I was working in healthcare on a path to go to medical school and bam. Countless hours being inside a MRI machine led to a diagnosis that shifted my path. I didn't know it then, but it would bring me to Loil Life.

As the years went on, I found a love for herbalism (about 2019) and it opened an entire new universe to utilizing plant magic. There is no place else I'd rather be than in the woods harvesting what mother Earth intended.

I have oily combo skin so I used to hate having to put anything on. After making my whole skin care routine Loil Life products, I had to add this to my daily morning routine. This is so lightweight that I barely remember I have it on. Totally helped calm my daily redness and I get mad if I ever forget because I love it so much. Hello friends. If you’re new around here, hey 👋, if not, it’s so nice to have you here. I don’t talk about my story often. If you know me, you know I try to air on the side of positivity, so sharing how I got started is something I usually steer away from because, well, it isn’t positive.

Here’s a little excerpt from my journey.

-I climbed aboard this vertical, cold, less than a bed and was conveyered inside this machine. Thumping, knocking, buzzing and clicking noises zoomed around my head. Lights of red, green and yellow danced as the machine moved around me. I lay there in this orchestra of chaos, I tried to breath and focus on steadying eye movements so we wouldn’t have to retake these images. After 3 hours of varying scans, and a visit to the neurologist. Nothing.

The neurologist asked me to go back again and get additional images. Still inconclusive. Again, he asks me to get new scans but with contrast this time. After weeks of back and forth, hours of MRIs, dealing with the preparation and after math of contrast, I knew my fate. I finally had my answers.

The conclusion was that the lesions on my brain were new, and luckily they didn’t progress to my spinal cord. On that note, I was handed a packet for people who had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
