BAMF Health
BAMF Health is achieving intelligence-based precision medicine through molecular imaging and molecular targeted radiation therapy.
Our overriding mission is to empower patients to become people again. BAMF Health is the world’s most advanced and comprehensive Theranostics center. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI, we use intelligence-based precision medicine to detect and treat cancer and other diseases and conduct clinical trials for novel radiopharmaceuticals.
“I was looking for a new treatment because I didn't want to do chemo, and I was sent a news clip about BAMF.”
Mark is in the midst of his second clinical trial with us. He says clinical trials have given him access to therapy options he wouldn't have otherwise.
"BAMF is just an incredible place. It changes the whole paradigm of going to the doctor."
Mark’s advice to other men, especially those with a family history of prostate cancer, is to always get your annual PSA test. He skipped two annual tests in the years leading up to his diagnosis. He wants to make sure others don’t do the same.
Coming next month!
September is . All month long we'll be sharing inspiring patient stories and advice from those battling cancer right now.
Plus our experts Brandon Mancini and Harshad Kulkarni will offer education about prostate cancer screening, diagnosis, imaging, and more.
It all starts next week.
"We're in a multidisciplinary field and the essence of this field is collaboration." - Anthony Chang, PhD

"The goal of BAMF was not to become just another company. We're using the company to conquer a mission. Accessible, affordable, as soon as possible."

50 years of educating the next generation of nuclear medicine technologists! 👏
We want to congratulate our friends over at Ferris State University for reaching this impressive milestone. We are proud to say every BAMF nuclear medicine technologist received their undergraduate degree from Ferris. ☢️
Michigan’s lone Nuclear Medicine Technology program at Ferris State reaches golden anniversary while still growing through partnerships What began with formative, diagnostic imaging techniques at Ferris State University in 1974 is now experiencing continued growth through technological advancements, strong partnerships and a commitment to excellence.
Looking good 😎
Have you seen these up around town lately?
Hot stuff coming through! ☢️
Ever wonder what it takes to safely transport and administer a hot (radioactive) drug?
⏱️Time = limit time spent near hot source
📏Distance = maintain distance during treatment (when possible)
🛡️Shielding = place barriers between the source and humans
Other safety measures include:
Lab coats - protect team members from spills
Lucite box and tungsten lining - shields radiation exposure
Dosimetry badge/ring - measures exposure
Call light - signals the room is hot
Individual patient bathrooms – keeps radioactive waste contained

We love it when our state legislators stop by!
This is Michigan State Representative Will Snyder's first time visiting BAMF Health. As an advocate for quality healthcare in West Michigan, he's excited about the impact we're having on patients and the statewide expansion plans we have for the future.
Patients should know if each cancer treatment dose is working, right??
Depending on where they receive treatment, they might not. Knowing the impact of each round of therapy not only leads to more personalized treatment, our patients report having less anxiety and more clarity.
We accomplish this by using SPECT/CT. Learn more about our unique approach:
Value of Using SPECT/CT Post-Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Patients report feeling more empowered, informed, and less anxious.
"They do such good work. The people are caring here" - Ella, BAMF Health patient

We love many things about Ella, but her homemade tamales top the list!
She delivered some tamales to BAMF on the day of her final SPECT/CT. And they were delicious!
