In The Image will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day. We take this day to honor the hard work and dedication of all workers in our community and across the nation.

We'll be back on Tuesday, ready to continue our mission. Wishing everyone a safe and restful holiday!

As students get back to school and gather their supplies, think about donating the items that didn’t make it into their backpacks to In The Image!

Our Free Store is stocking our shelves with school supplies for students in need, and we would be grateful for any new or gently used school supplies items you have at home.

Drop off your items to our Donation Center during our hours of operation, Monday - Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Because of YOUR incredible support, our recent Pop-Up Shop was a huge success!

We were able to provide over 1,300 items yesterday, thanks to the support of our donors and dedication of our ITI volunteers and staff.

Your commitment truly made a difference, spreading joy and relief throughout our West Michigan community. Together, we’re making a real impact, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with all of you.

Our staff put together a list of community back-to-school giveaways and events happening across Kent County, designed to help families get ready for the new school year with essential school supplies.

These events offer a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and ensure your children are prepared and excited for their return to school. Be sure to reach out to the specific organizations for more info!

In The Image is excited to share the data from SHOES 2024!

--> 3,955 Elementary students in Kent County are starting the school year with a brand new, custom-fitted pair of athletic shoes, confidence and joy!

--> 8,400+ Community members were reached through the SHOES Program. Over 2,000 individuals interacted with 14 different Nonprofit Organizations over the 5-day Program.

--> 1,168 students received free vision screenings by Lions Club KidSight. 178 students were identified to have previously undiagnosed vision deficits.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the donors, volunteers, nonprofit partners, sponsors, and the entire Grand Rapids community for their continued support in helping these students start the school year on the right foot!

This Thursday, August 15th, is the third Thursday of the month! This means that our Free Store and Donation Center will be open from 5:00pm-8:00pm for donations and appointment shopping!

Van Andel Arena has teamed up with In The Image in celebration of National Dollar Day happening this Thursday! 💰 Stop by their location on Kalamazoo Ave. this Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM and donate one dollar and you'll receive a ticket to Martin Lawrence I'll Know What It Is tour happening at the arena on August 31st!🙌🤑

Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of 4 tickets per person, while supplies last. The donation must be made in person on August 8 between 10 AM – 3 PM at In The Image, located at 4255 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. Tickets will be transferred electronically, and all donations will benefit In The Image.

They are a $10 suggested donation. All proceeds go directly to ITI's SHOES Program!

Due to the SHOES Program, our Free Store will be closed from July 29 through August 10th. Our Donation Center will remain open from 10am-3pm every day during this time, except on Saturday, August 10th.
