Happy Halloween Week! We hope each of our families have a fun & enjoyable trick-or-treating experience, no matter what that looks like for your family!
We know Halloween can be challenging for many children due to all the extra sights, sounds and crowds! We hope the tips below can help prepare you for an enjoyable Halloween! 🎃
We are also sharing a free resource in the comments! Use the cards during trick or treating if your child is nonverbal or uncomfortable talking. Print for them to hold, tape to their bucket or make a lanyard for them to wear!

From Crystal Ray:
Did you know that Cerebral Palsy is a common diagnosis for children in Africa? I didn’t until I had the privilege to go to Kenya this summer on a mission trip.
I have recently learned of a request from a missionary in Nigeria who is a therapist working with children with special needs. She is asking for used unwanted AFO’s and hand splints. She can repurpose these much needed items for children who would otherwise never have to opportunity to have them.
If you have these items that are no longer useful for your child, would you consider donating them to this cause?
I have set up 2 drop off locations in the Midlands area. Any AFO’s or hand splints can be dropped off at the following locations.
The Therapy Place, Inc. in Columbia and Carolina Behavior & Beyond, LLC in Lexington.
If you are in the upstate and would like to donate, please contact us.
These AFO’s are my sweet Lina’s. Later this month will mark 14 years that my sweet girl will be with Jesus. I could not think of a better way to honor her life than to donate her AFO’s to this mission. May the child they go to know they are loved and treasured!
Having fun while in Speech Therapy at their daycares. Did you know we work with kids in their natural environments so wherever they are during the day we can see them! It makes scheduling so convenient for our families so kids don’t miss out on needed therapy services!!
Blanket rides are so much fun!!
