Thank you to each of our volunteers. Your investment of time in the lives of students is making an eternal difference!
Please pray for our recruitment nights. These are one of the best opportunities to recruit students for the Released-Time program.
We had a parent call to tell us that their child was transferring to another school and they wanted to make sure our Released-Time classes would be offered there as well. These are some of the best calls!
Did you know that Saturday, August 3rd is the day of prayer for Greenville County schools? Please join us in praying for each of our schools.
As we prepare for a new school year we would ask you to join us in praying for these things. We know that we can do nothing without God and having you lift us before His throne is great comfort to us!
We are excited about Karen Abercrombie and Christina Custodio being our speakers for this year's Power Lunch. We would love to have members from your church attend this special event!
On this day of International Day of Friendship we want to say a thank you to our many ministry partners we have in the churches of Greenville County. We are so blessed to have such supportive friends and could not do it without you. Many of these churches also have us on their monthly budget. If your church would be interested in doing this please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for standing with us as we share the Gospel with public-school students.
This is true of every one of our volunteers!
We have our own Olympic gold medal team and we are so proud of each member even if some of them are hard to snap a picture of (see if you can find the one of Dana!)
Birthdays are a perfect opportunity to say how much someone means to us and we are so grateful for Bonita and all the heard work she does for CLC. Join us in wishing her the best birthday ever!
Would you like to volunteer with CLC but only have a couple of hours to give? Consider joining our recruitment team. Each semester we have the opportunity to set up a table during open house night at the school which allows us to recruit for the Released-Time classes. Unfortunately, many of these nights fall on the same date making it impossible for us to attend. If you would like to volunteer to work with us during this time please message us.
Our theme for this new school year is "Turning Darkness to Light" taken from Acts 26:18
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
Here Paul is sharing his testimony with King Agrippa and the calling God had for the apostle's life, to preach Christ to the lost and turn them from darkness to light. This is our desire for Greenville County public schools. We know that students are facing dark days as Satan attacks them with his lies and hopelessness, but we have the truth and the eternal hope found only in Christ Jesus. We are praying for a year of growth in our Released-Time program and for more volunteers and churches to partner with us as we seek to fulfill our mission.
Will you join us in praying this prayer?
We love having the opportunity to share the mission of CLC with churches in Greenville County just like Long Branch Baptist Church. Message us to schedule a presentation with your church!
Janice did a wonderful job of sharing the heart and vision of CLC with the members of Long Branch Baptist Church here in Greenville. What a sweet spirit and welcoming atmosphere among God's people. Thank you Long Branch for allowing us to come!
Our volunteer coordinators give of their time each school year and this time our Charisma group of young professionals wanted to do something special. Check out our event tab for more information on how you can be involved and mark your calendar!
We are so proud of our board member Stan Tzouvelekas! Congratulations!
When you give, it is noticed and God can use your generosity to inspire others to do the same. Did you know that CLC has a monthly giving program called "Firstfruit Fellowship"? Message us for more information.
According to the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, participating in Released-Time improves student scores in comprehension, spelling, and vocabulary.
Here is a seek and find CLC edition! Try to find our crew in these photos from the National School Ministries Conference!
We are so blessed to have volunteers who are generous with their time. Multiple times a year they freely give of their time to help us with events, office work, and special projects. If the Lord is leading you to volunteer we would love to have a chance to share the many ways you can work with CLC!
We want to take a moment and praise the Lord for an amazing 2023-2024 year! His goodness and grace surrounded us every step of the way. His provision and precise answers to prayer is more abundant than we could ever tell. We serve an amazing God!
This is the heart of CLC!

Our Story
Christian Learning Centers of Greenville County (CLC) exists to provide biblical instruction for school-aged children as an opportunity to encourage them to embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ, grow in the Christian faith, and apply biblical principles for living. CLC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is fully supported by donations from individuals, churches and businesses in our area.
Since the inception of Christian Learning Centers of Greenville County (CLC) in 1997, we have served a little more than 16,000 public school students through our Released-Time Christian Education program. More importantly, about 2,100 Released-Time students have committed their lives to Jesus Christ since our organization’s inception.
The Released-Time Christian Education program allows students (with parental consent) to receive Biblical instruction during the school day in an off-campus classroom during a related arts class period. Middle school students attend Released-Time Bible class once a week and make up any schoolwork that they miss to do so. High school students attend an accredited Bible course as an elective and receive a Carnegie Unit for each Bible course successfully completed. Their Bible classes are held off school campus, and parental consent is required.
