Tenth Avenue North is coming to the Worship & Arts Center on Friday, September 20th. We anticipate tickets selling out for this event. Hurry to FirstPresGreenville.org/events and get yours today!
Tenth Avenue North has always been a band of deep conviction. They’ve never shied away from uncomfortable topics. They’ve never stopped asking hard questions. What they thought was the end of Tenth Avenue North in 2020 – with a farewell tour disrupted by the global pandemic – turned into a four-year hiatus that sharpened the band’s focus and cemented the convictions that made them one of the most popular bands in Christian music. “I want our music to speak truth but also honor what can often be a struggle to accept what is true,” says Donehey. “‘Losing’ is about the struggle to forgive. ‘Suddenly’ is about what happens when you finally get there.”
We need your help! We still have several items needed for next weeks day missions service in the community.
We are calling all individuals, businesses or anyone in the community who would like to drop off items by this Wednesday. Every little bit helps. Check out our sign-up genius https://m.signupgenius.com/ #!/showSignUp/10C0C4AACAA2DA1F85-48934699-daymissions
Do you need prayer and rest this week? Don't forget about our Tuesday evening prayer service in the Chapel each week.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”- Matthew 11:28-30
Skye Peterson is coming to Greenville on Friday, July 19th! Tickets are on sale now.
She is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Although she has been writing and recording since high school, she began her career as a musician after studying theology, biblical history, and hermeneutics. Skye is the daughter of Andrew Peterson, writes hymns for Getty Music and the local church, and is now performing in hopes of telling the world they are not alone and there’s a King who’s worth singing about.

If you missed last Sunday's sermon, here's a reminder of how Pride can so easily entangle and hurt us and others. Refer back to Philippians 1:27 & Chapter 2 for a refresher and join us this Sunday as Rev. Dr. Richard Gibbon's resumes "Becoming" with the scripture reading from Romans 8:18-27.
We have a lot of growing families at FPC! If you would like to stay connected or you have adult children and would like to volunteer, email Judy, [email protected]. We still need a few more volunteers for VBS (June 10-13) so we can allow more children to hear the gospel!

Did you know that one of our Covenant Partners, Dave Burke has written a historical play?
“Clop Clop on the Reedy: A Tale of Huguenot Mill” follows the struggle of 3 characters in the 1890s: MaryLou (a 15-year-old biscuit-maker), Ambrose (a Horse Cab Driver, known locally as “The Story Man”), and Charles H. Lanneau Jr. (historic founder of the Huguenot Mill.) Their responses to a tragic event in 1892 propel the action through 1907—all woven together by a whimsical Narrator/Stagehand named Hack who rolls the actors past images of Old Greenville in an authentic horse cart. There will be a pre-show talk by John Nolan, author and Owner of History Tours. The play is sponsored by Arts Council
