Found out Saturday you can buy Vegan Sugar. Sugar made from cane plant...not vegan? Apparently, many commercial, refined sugars are whitened with charcoal from cow bones. May not dangerous - unless you're trying to avoid animal products (hence, "vegan"). Most Americans consume way too much sugar anyway - myself included. (Sugar Addicts Anonymous anyone?) Did you know sugar is one of the top 10 worst things for your skin and hair? (artificial & modified sweeteners are no better) If you're using Norwex's Marine Organics or Naturally Timeless skincare collections (or any other skin rejuvenating product) beware you don't undo your efforts on the outside by lack thereof on the inside. Long day at work? Late night studying or taking care of baby? Try one of my favorite refreshers: an all natural Eye Mask. Takes about 5 minutes to prepare + chill time. If in a hurry, just apply a thinner layer.

Eye Mask
- "Hydrates & tightens skin, diminishes puffiness, and leaves eyes feeling refreshed."

Ingredients:
2 tsp cucumber or raw potato, peeled, seeded, and finely grated
1 tsp. powdered milk

Directions:
Using a mortar and pestle, combine ingredients into a smooth, thick paste and chill for 30 min. Add a few drops of water if mixture needs to be thinned a little bit.
Yield: 1 treatment, mix as needed

Application Tips:
Lie down, close eyes, and apply mixture to the entire eye area, including the lids. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
