Christ Fellowship Cherrydale
SUNDAY
Core Classes - 9am and 11am at the church. Worship Service - 9am and 11am Our building was the home of Leawood Baptist for many years.
Christ Fellowship Cherrydale (formerly known as the Church at Cherrydale) began on September 29, 2013 and was created by the merger of Covenant Grace Baptist and Renewal Church. Leawood and Buncombe Road Baptist merged in 2012 to form Covenant Grace. We are a church committed to reaching our world for Christ and to sound, biblical teaching. Matt Rogers is our teaching pastor.
Join us at our upcoming Discipleship Summit on Spiritual Warfare on September 20-21. We desire for the entire church to participate in this teaching led by Dr. Lawless of Southeastern Seminary. We will seek to address questions such as what is spiritual warfare and how a Christian can recognize and combat the enemy based on a deep understanding of the gospel.

At CFC, we understand that a large portion of our church community is comprised of single individuals. Unfortunately, our Christian culture often stigmatizes singleness in unhelpful ways, and we desire to provide an opportunity to equip, disciple, and lead those in our church who are single into how to best leverage their lives for God’s glory, the good of others and their sanctification.
Each meeting will be an opportunity to fellowship around a meal and teachings led by Matt and Sarah Rogers, Matt and Annie Reid, and Edher Cavero. This is an opportunity for single men and women who have finished their junior year in college. Space is limited to up to 20 people, so please register today!

The author of Hebrews exhorts the people to move past the elementary teachings of the faith and grow up to maturity (Heb. 5:11-14). In an effort to press us to such growth, we are forming discipleship clusters among our church’s members for the Fall. We intend for these to be smaller groups and the meeting day & time will depend on the group's availability. We hope you will consider being part of these groups this fall!
There are six different topics and corresponding books from which members can choose. Note that we have also made a Spanish book available on the reading list. The groups will meet between Labor Day and Thanksgiving (approximately 12 weeks). Most groups will consist of 3-4 people. Deadline to sign up is Sunday, August 25th.

Sunday morning, we were taught by Pastor Matt from our text in Hebrews 6:1-12. While this is a challenging text, we were reminded of this beautiful truth echoed throughout the scriptures, “God preserves His people, and God’s people persevere.” May we, as God’s people, be challenged to keep the faith and rest in the promises of God that He holds his children to the end.
Plan to join us on July 10th at 6pm for a time of intentional prayer and encouragement. Come and gather with others at the church, and through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we will aim to present our requests to God. And as a byproduct, we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
