Julie Valentine Center
Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Recovery
The Julie Valentine Center works to stop child abuse and sexual assault before it happens; reduce trauma and re- establish safety for victims and their families; and engages survivors in the healing process through compassionate comprehensive treatment.
On Tuesday, June 18, Julie Valentine Center was recognized at the Greenville County Council meeting for the significant contributions we have made in our community over the past 50 years. Special thanks to our friends at Greater Good Greenville for this opportunity and to all our community partners in Greenville County who help make our work possible.
Today, we celebrate the end of slavery in the United States and honor the resilience and strength of Black Americans. Let’s continue to fight for justice and equality for all. In honor of this special day, Julie Valentine Center will be closed today, Wednesday, June 19th!

In honor of mental health awareness month, we had the pleasure of speaking to the Table 301 Management Team about mental health, the importance of self care, and healthy coping skills. There are many similarities between working in the service industry and working at a crisis center like JVC including the fast paced environment and importance of being there to care for the needs of others, which is why we also need to take care of ourselves along the way. Thank you Table 301 for investing in the health and well-being of your team and inviting us to be a part of it❤️

We joined JVC Board Member and Advocate, Mary Evelyn Mitchell, as she celebrated her birthday and retirement from the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office! Evelyn’s years of service to victims during her tenure at the Solicitor’s Office will have a lasting impact for years to come in addition to her advocacy that led to the passage of South Carolina’s first R**e Kit Tracking bill. Evelyn’s spirit of giving turned her celebration into an opportunity to support and raise funds for JVC! Join us in celebrating and thanking Evelyn for all that she does to make our world a better place. ❤️
We joined the SC Network of CACs to celebrate the 13th Annual Children’s Advocacy Center day in South Carolina highlighting the importance of the work all SC CACs do in our communities to prevent and respond to child abuse every day of the year. We are honored to be a part of this incredible team.
