NCC staff took volunteers on a sneak preview walkthrough of our new facility. The building has a “Helping Hands Volunteer Workstation” and a “Navigation Station” to be manned by volunteers. We’re so lucky to have a dedicated team of people who are patiently waiting for us to open our new space to the public.

2024 Hope Ball raises more than $704K The first Hope Ball was held in 1984 and proceeds from each fundraiser have helped over 2,000 cancer patients and their families.

At Neighborhood Cancer Connection, formerly known as the Cancer Society of Greenville County, Lisa leads efforts to provide integrative services that support emotional needs, alleviate financial burdens, and ensure dignified, equal access to care for those facing cancer. Her work is pivotal in equipping individuals for a successful journey through one of life’s toughest challenges.

Neighborhood Cancer Connection would like to thank our dedicated all-volunteer Hope Ball Committee for their tireless efforts hosting this year's remarkable event. It was a huge undertaking, led by the skillful creativity and passion of Brandi Ariail (chair) and Angela Green (vice chair). With over $700k raised, we can provide two years of crucial support to those battling cancer.

Our counseling team, Chameka and Katie, represented NCC at yesterday’s CommUNITY Resource Fair at Unity Park. Free counseling services are available to those battling cancer and their caregivers. Contact our office for more info.

The Greenville Health Authority supports the work of Neighborhood Cancer Connection with a 2023 Healthy Greenville Grant of $316,337 for its mental health counseling program! This week NCC hosted GHA Trustees and Grant Committee members for a tour of their new facility.
“It was a pleasure for Greenville Health Authority to meet with staff and Board members of Neighborhood Cancer Connection. We had an opportunity to tour the new facility on Mills Avenue, which will continue to provide free and integrative services and support to individuals living with cancer. NCC seeks to offer emotional and financial support to our citizens and to equip them for a successful journey in dealing with cancer. We appreciate the support and sense of community they provide and are proud to fund this organization via our Healthy Greenville grants program.” – GHA President Phillip Liston

Neighborhood Cancer Connection hosted “Breakfast of Champions” featuring our friend Coach Dabo. Dabo, our supporters, and a few signed footballs helped us raise $112,000 to fund our mission of supporting people with cancer! In appreciation for all Coach Dabo, his wife, Kathleen, and foundation has done for us, we are dedicating a room in our new facility to them.
