Peter Martin Ray vineyard is nestled high in the hills of the Northern Santa Cruz Mountains where steep slopes, thick forests, and hardened soils of sandstone, schist, and dark minerals make growing grapes exceedingly difficult. Chardonnay was originally planted in the 1920s by Martin Ray and replanted in 1980 by his son Peter.
These old dry-farmed vines, constantly struggling for water and nutrients, yield a distinctive and magical wine for its salty, mineral palate, persistent aromas and flavors of pineapple, beeswax, lavender, with a lingering finish and alpine weight that only elevation can provide. One of the true heritage sites in California in a fantastic vintage.

Join us on Thursday, August 29th for a special Chef Collaboration Dinner at Mr Crisp, featuring the culinary talents of chefs Carlos Baez and Richie Mataafa. The evening will showcase a menu that highlights the rich Hawaiian and Puerto Rican cultural backgrounds of these amazing chefs. Utilizing regional ingredients and partnering with local vendors to create an exceptional expression of cuisine, this dinner is not to be missed. A welcome pour is complimentary with your ticket purchase, and to elevate your dining experience, we also offer a variety of curated wine pairings, wines by the glass and bottle, and special cocktails available for purchase.
Tickets are priced at $80++per person and includes a five-course dinner. Please note, the gratuity is added to the ticket price at checkout. Wine will be available to purchase at the dinner.
