Congratulations to Sarah Channell and Lindsay Fetherolf for being selected to speak at the Rocky Mountain Symposium in Denver last week. They presented the data collected from their MOUD/MAT program in Union County, Ohio. Their pilot program demonstrated the efficacy of locking prescription vials (LPVs) in securing medications safely. It successfully concluded that dispensing MAT into LPVs prevents the risk of pediatric overdoses and pilfering. We are thankful for their partnership and continued support.

Campus Safety Awareness Month is coming to a close, but you should encourage your students to practice medication safety year round. According to a study in the National Institutes of Health taken for college students, "approximately 60% of misused prescription drugs were obtained from peers, including friends, roommates, and classmates."
