Welcome to the 21 new members of the Montgomery County Veterans Response Team (VRT)! Launched in January 2022, the VRT connects specialized training for law enforcement officers and first responders, who are Veterans themselves, with the highest priority connections to mental health crisis responders, Veterans service organizations, and Veterans Treatment Court. VRT is a collaboration between Montco HHS, Coatesville VA, and the Montco Sheriff's Office, with key partners from the Norristown Vet Center, Montco Department of Public Safety, and Access Mobile Crisis.
20 Montco police departments have served over 40 local Veterans in crisis over the last year. Huge thank you to UPT Police Department for hosting and to all presenters and trainers who partnered to make this training a success.
If you or someone you know is a Montco Veteran in need, contact the Office of Veterans Affairs at 610-278-3285, or email: [email protected].
If you are in crisis, call the Mobile Crisis Team 24/7 at 1-855-634-4673.
