Our Mission is "to inspire today's youth to be physically and emotionally healthy through education, awareness and advocacy."
The Council provides Healthy Youth Education programs for adolescents ages 10-18 in Catawba County. Our prevention programs educate youth about making healthy choices, bullying, future goals, healthy relationships, internet/social media safety, nutrition, peer pressure, puberty, reproductive health, sexually transmitted infections, sexual violence, teen pregnancy, setting boundaries, and avoiding

💜Do you have a passion for health education? Do you have a college degree and are interested in working with teens? Are you available during the school day? Do you want to stay home with kids in the summer? If you answered yes to these, this may be the perfect job for you
💜The Council on Adolescents is hiring for a part time health educator starting at the end of August, 2024
💜Up to 20 hours/week
💜To provide puberty and reproductive health and safety educational programs to various schools within Catawba County
➡️Requirements:
💜Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in health education, psychology, social work or another related field
💜Must interact well with adolescents from diverse populations
💜Must be a “team player” but be able to work independently.
