Looking forward to a new year of music in Hingham Public Schools!
Welcome back to a year of musical fun and festivities! 🎶
We have lots of great things planned for the upcoming school year and we couldn't do them without you. Each year we ask music families to make a donation of $20 to help us be able to help enrich the music programs within our schools.
Please visit: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIeSMMl5V_7ZvXV4PUY9fxCNVcLgTxnljI-1lg4sRFMY5QwA/viewform This will help us keep our records of current music families up to date!
There are still some open positions if anyone is looking to take on a volunteer position (big or small). If so, we would love for you to join us for the next Board meeting on 9/18.
Coming soon! 👀🎶

Congratulations to the HMS and HHS Jazz bands! Jazz Night was amazing!
Thank you, Mr. Cincotta!

Last week, we enjoyed the 5th grade band/strings concert at Foster School. At this concert, students showcased their progress by playing songs with multiple parts, rather than all playing the same notes at the same time.
Congratulations to all who performed! We can't wait for next year's class to enjoy the use of a stage!

“Last week, we enjoyed a very special fifth grade band, strings, and chorus spring concert at South.
Students did an amazing job performing, introducing pieces, and even braving a handful of solos and duets. The chorus also worked the South School motto about kindness into one of the pieces to honor and appreciate Mrs. Eastwood in her final 5th grade spring concert!
I know that I wasn't the only one in the audience whose eyes weren't 100% dry.”
Jazz Night is tomorrow!!
As the year draws to a close, we'd like to invite you to Hingham Jazz Night, the final performance event on our very busy music calendar.
The concert will take place this Thursday (6/6) in the HHS cafeteria at 7:00pm, and attempts to create more of a "jazz club" atmosphere, with audience members sitting together at round tables and refreshments provided by the HMPA.
Both the HMS and HHS Jazz Bands will perform, and it's a terrific way to celebrate the past several months of tremendous music-making in a fun and relaxed setting. We hope to see you there!
Thank you to Mr. E-Show for the awesome graphic!
Congratulations to the Class of 2024! 🎓❤️

Mr. Cincotta and Ms. Crook recently started the tradition of taking a "mega band" photo at each of our middle school band concerts in the hopes of reminding our music students what a big, awesome community they are a part of. This year, we had over 90 sixth graders perform together on-stage!
Congratulations to the many students who performed at the HMS band concert this past Thursday evening.
You all did a fantastic job!
Congratulations to the Hingham Middle School Band!
Your performance last night was outstanding!!

“Fantastic PRS 5th grade band, strings, and chorus concert today! We also heard many soloists and small groups of performers. In the first half of the year, students learn how to sing and play together with mostly the same notes at the same time.
They work on developing tone and technique together as a group. In the second half of the year, these students continue to improve technique while also learning to play music that includes multiple parts at the same time, requiring more musical independence.
We are very proud of the growth that we see at our spring events.”
Congratulations to the members of the Hingham
Middle School Orchestra…What a wonderful performance this evening!
Many thanks to our amazing teachers, Mrs. Gorczyca and Ms. Sassano for your hard work this year.
Thank you to Fine Arts Director, Ms. Bellis for the photos of tonight’s concert!
What a beautiful performance by the HHS Chorus! The Major Works Concert is always a highlight of the year.
Congratulations to all and thank you to Dr. Young for your incredible work!
Thank you to the Weiss Famoly for the lovely photos!
Congratulations to the members of the HMS 6th grade Chorus, 7th & 8th grade Chorus, Junior Choral Spectrum and MICCA performing Chorus! Your performance last night was amazing. 🎤🎶
Thank you to Mr. Landis for another incredible year!
Congratulations to all members of the HHS Orchestra, Concert Band and Wind Ensemble!
Their final performance of the year and awards ceremony this evening was a truly stellar way to end their 2023-2024 concert season!
Thank you to Ms. Sassano and Mr. Cincotta for a wonderful year!
Bravo to all and congratulations to the graduating seniors! 🎓
