If you’re new here, here are the details!

Runners of all skill levels and abilities are welcome to join Jaco Rehab for a monthly run club based in the Ewa/Kapolei area.

Run club will start with a short educational session of various topics including:

🏃🏽‍♀️Injury Prevention
🏃🏽‍♂️Strength Training For Runners
🏃🏾Programming
🏃🏼‍♀️Form

Meet runners in your area for community, fun, and developing a healthy running technique.

Runs will be around 3-4 miles at an inclusive pace!

Stick around after the group run for injury screening, assessment, and corrective exercise prescription by a running- specialized licensed physical therapist. Let us help you navigate any aches and pains you may have, and get back to pain-free, healthy running!

Are you or someone you know thinking about the PT profession and want to learn more about it? We are now accepting volunteer applications at all four JACO Rehab locations! (Honolulu, Waikele, Mililani, Kapolei). Volunteers will help our admin and PT staff with daily tasks and have the chance to observe physical therapist treatments for a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of a PT. Tossing and turning? Maybe aerobic exercise will help!

✔️ This study looked at the effects of moderate aerobic physical activity on sleep, mood, and quality of life in older adults with chronic insomnia.

✔️ Participants with who completed 16 weeks of aerobic phsycial activity plus sleep hygene training were compared to a control group who completed 16 weeks of no aerobic physical activity plus sleep hygene training.

✔️ Those in the aerobic exercise group reported improved sleep quality and overall improved quality of life as indicated by the outcome measures used in the study.

We did a thing this weekend! The first annual Jaco Rehab Olympics! We had a blast and got our friendly competition on. WAIKELE took home the trophy!!!! Congrats Waikele crew!
