Human Resource Specialist About the Position: Provides support to the Medical Readiness Command (MRC) and subordinate units in executing the core mission by optimizing resources and civilian human capital while improving the recruitment and retention of personnel across the MRC.
Congratulations to Brig. Gen. Bill A. Soliz, commanding general of Medical Readiness Command, Pacific, who became the first active-duty physician assistant in the armed forces to wear the rank of general on May 11, 2024. He was promoted by Lt. Gen. Mary K. Izaguirre, the U.S. Army Surgeon General, during a ceremony at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Brig. Gen. Soliz oversees nearly 4,000 Soldiers and 400 civilians in MRC, P and provides regionally ready, globally responsive medical forces, health service support, and force health protection across the region. He is also the director of Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific and oversees a joint, integrated health network with Army, Navy and Air Force personnel that provide quality care in medical facilities in Washington, California, Hawaii, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
This promotion is a major milestone for the physician assistant community and Army Medicine. Congratulations, Brig. Gen. Soliz!

The MRC, P Command Sergeant Major, CSM Fergus Joseph, signs the command’s pledge, as DHN-IP Chief of Staff Navy Capt. Ian Fowler and MRC,P Chief of Staff COL Edgar Arroyo look on. All three leaders signed the pledge and spoke to the two commands, encouraging all members to fight sexual assault and harassment, report incidents, and support victims with compassion.

Yesterday MRC,P started the Best Leader Competition to select the Best Leaders to represent us at the MEDCOM'S Best Leader Competition in June. Seven untis are competing with 6 member Teams.
