🎼 CLUB SUMMER PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT 🎶

Last week, our Music In The Club: Ukulele Program was buzzing with excitement! 🎸 Club members mastered chord transitions, finger placements, and sang with confidence.

They also practiced Ōlelo Hawaiʻi, adding a touch of our culture to their music. 🌺

Our Summer Nights showcase was a huge success, thanks to all their hard work! 🎵

🌞🏄‍♂️ Summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to Wet 'n' Wild!

We had an absolute blast making memories, riding waves, and soaking up the sun.

🏅 Summer Olympic Week Finale!

We wrapped up our Olympic Week with a fun and "friendly" 😂😂 game of Knockerball USA ⚽️🎉 Our members had a great time bouncing, rolling, and competing with staff.

The energy and teamwork were fantastic! 💪🙌

🌍✈️ South Africa Service Project Update!

Cape Town was incredible, even with the weather. We learned so much about South Africa's history at District 6 and the Slave Lodge Museum. And we even got to see penguins! 🐧

Now, we're off to Johannesburg to visit the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa.

🌍✈️ Our Leaders in Training Program members are currently in South Africa for an incredible Service Project! Partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs in California, Social & Emotional Wellness Initiative , Pacific Youth Foundation, and EDU Africa, this journey is all about adventure and transformative learning.

We're focusing on intercultural competence, leadership, and global citizenship, visiting iconic places like Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Kruger National Park.

We're actively participating in projects and learning about the culture at Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa. It's a chance to give back and gain a deeper understanding of the world.

🪸 SUMMER PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

In this session of Hana ‘Ike, we visited Mauliola Ke’ehi, a place dedicated to preserving the rich history of Ke’ehi, Kahaka’aulana, Mokuo’e’o, Mokauea, and Mauliola ☀️

Kumu Kehaulani Kupihea shared important stories with us, and we learned to calm our hearts through traditional practices.

We paddled to the tidal reef, explored its ecology, and tasted native limu. Our haumāna loved meeting species like loli, hawa’e, pāpa’i, kualakai, and more!

Thank you Mauliola Ke`ehi for being a source of knowledge for Hawaii's youth. We can’t wait to come back! 🦈

🌞 SUMMER OUTING HIGHLIGHT 🌞

Our nature explorers had a blast in the great outdoors! 🏔️🥾🌱

A huge MAHALO to the Hawaii nature Center, Uncle Todd, and Ms. Molly for another incredible Hana ‘Ike adventure.

We hiked a scenic mile, practiced the art of kilo, and compared the unique environments of Makīkī and Nānākuli.

The highlight? Net fishing in a freshwater stream for mosquito fish, catfish, and prawns! We had an absolute blast and can’t wait for our next adventure! 🌈🌱

🌞🧗‍♂️**Summer Adventure at Volcanic Rock Gym**🧗‍♀️🌞

Our amazing kids had an incredible day rock climbing! 🏔️ From scaling walls to cheering each other on, our youth displayed amazing teamwork, resilience, and enthusiasm. 🌟

A huge shoutout to volcanic rock gym for providing a safe and exciting space for our kids to challenge themselves and have a blast. 🙌

🌿✨ Yesterday, we had an awesome adventure at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens (McBryde Gardens)!

🌺 We went on a cool guided tour, saw the amazing Canoe Garden, discovered a beautiful waterfall, and took a fun walk through the Native Garden. 🌸🌊

🌟 At the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, it's not just about the fun activities.

When we asked our Club kids what they enjoy most about the Club, their heartfelt replies were simple yet meaningful: "being happy" and "being accepted." 💙

It's the sense of belonging, the friendships, and the supportive environment that truly make a difference. We're here to create a safe space where every child feels valued and loved. 🌺✨

🌟 SUMMER TOUR HIGHLIGHT🌟

Yesterday, Club members took a huaka’i to Kahumana Farms ➡️ Kuwale, and saw all the wonderful produce being grown there.

We left with bellies full of freshly grown tangerines, minds full of farming ‘Ike, and bags full of limes 💚

Yesterday was a wild adventure at The Honolulu Zoo Our keiki embarked on an exciting scavenger hunt, discovering amazing animals and learning fun facts along the way. Our day was filled with laughter, curiosity, and teamwork. 🦁🐘

🌟 A Day at the Food Bank with Our Teens! 🌟

Our amazing teens recently spent a day at the food bank, helping to sort food donations. They checked expiration dates, sorted damaged items, and organized food into categories.

This experience not only supports our community but also teaches our teens valuable skills and the importance of giving back.

We are happy to make these trips once a quarter.

Our youth are so very grateful for the much needed food we receive throughout the school year from the Hawai‘i Foodbank
