🍽️ Enjoyed ‘ono eats in the dining hall
🏅 Our very own Jonah carried our Lodge banner in the opening ceremony, provided by Dean Uyeno
🎶 The opening show was spectacular, featuring skits, speeches, songs, and the whole stadium singing "Don’t Stop Believing."

We were honored to welcome a remarkable Eagle Scout visiting from Guam at our recent Eagle Scout Banquet. His dedication to community service, leadership, and Scouting is truly inspiring.

For his Eagle Project, he successfully removed three old, unusable fire pits and completely rebuilt them at a local campground, earning high praise from his peers and the community. Recognized for his leadership abilities, he was nominated for the Order of the Arrow and selected as Junior Assistant Scout Master. His exceptional skills were on full display during a recent camping trip to Seoul, Korea, where he led with distinction.

His commitment to leadership extends beyond Scouting through his involvement in AFJROTC. He was honored with the top leadership award, The Order of the Purple Heart Award, and promoted to the Corps Top 3.

Congratulations on your outstanding achievements and continued success! 🏅✨

When was the last time you thought about the bench you’re sitting on? At Damien Memorial School, those benches have a deeper story thanks to Matthew James Parker. Matthew spent 150 hours over six weeks building four wooden benches for his school, despite having no prior woodworking experience. Overcoming setbacks like warped wood, his perseverance paid off, and he not only met the school’s needs but it also helped Matthew achieve the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, a distinction earned by fewer than 6% of Scouts nationwide. Proud to share our incredible community service project for Kauai Hospice this past 4th of July! Troops 148, 334 and 83 came together to collect trash and recyclables to support Kauai Hospice's fundraising efforts. Despite the long hours from 3 PM to after the fireworks at 10 PM and the heat, our scouts showed immense dedication and teamwork. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to make a difference!

On This Day: One Year Ago (July 5, 2023) ✨ We celebrate the incredible work of Zane Grzeszczak, whose outstanding dedication and leadership shone through in his Eagle Scout service project. Zane took on the monumental task of renovating the USS Utah, demonstrating the skills and knowledge he gained through Scouting. With the help of fellow Scouts, Zane transformed this historic site, earning him a spot on the front page of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and the prestigious Western Region Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year award.

Zane’s project is a testament to the power of teamwork, initiative, and the lasting impact of Scouting. Here’s to inspiring our next generation of Scouts to dream big!

Cub Scout Pack 304 let their curiosity lead the way to an exciting discovery at the world-renowned DPAA Laboratory on Hickam 🔬 The DPAA Laboratory, the largest and most diverse skeletal identification lab globally, is staffed by over 150 experts, including anthropologists, archaeologists, and forensic odontologists. Our Scouts saw firsthand the meticulous work involved in this ISO 17025 and AR 3125 accredited facility.

This enriching visit allowed our Scouts to complete some of their STEM requirements for their Cub Scout NOVA awards while deepening their appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of our service members. Proud of our Scouts for their curiosity and commitment to learning! 🔍

The 2024 Oahu Cub Scout Day Camp was an enriching experience for our young adventurers. Against the backdrop of our theme, Outdoor Adventure, Tigers through AOLS eagerly participated in a variety of activities.

They crafted decorative woggles, honed essential first aid skills, tested teamwork on rope bridges, aimed for bullseyes with slingshots, explored the mobile trading post, raced in outdoor relays, tried their hand at archery, reeled in fun memories while fishing, and even baked cakes in cardboard boxes during outdoor cooking sessions.

The camp concluded with a meaningful community service project, reinforcing the values of scouting.

Mahalo to all our families for being part of this memorable journey!

Our Maui Nui District Scouts shine at the King Kamehameha Day Parade! This year, our scouts were recognized with an award for being an outstanding walking unit in the parade.

Scouting Hawaii has been shaping Maui's youth since 1911, and our tradition continues strong with over 300 Keiki (children) in grades K-12 and nearly 150 amazing adult volunteers.

Scouts aren't just about camping and knots (though they do get pretty good at those too). They're also dedicated to giving back to the community. From Eagle Scout projects to beach cleanups and food drives, these young leaders are making a difference. We are especially proud of their efforts after the 2023 Lahaina fires, collecting and distributing supplies and even opening Camp Maluhia to displaced residents and the Red Cross.

We want to give a special shoutout to the Scouts who participated in the parade:
- Our Color Guard with members of the Order Of the Arrow (from Troops 1 and 18), from Makawao Hongwanji
- Troops 49B and 49G from the Maui YMCA
- Troops 18 and 180, also from Makawao Hongwanji

It’s almost summer, and that can only mean one thing… being OUTDOORS! 🏕️
In honor of , gear up and make it an adventure-packed celebration for all our Scouts. Let's make it our priority to take our Scouting spirit somewhere outside and into the wilderness.

Here’s the game plan: let’s use this special day to schedule some epic outdoor activities. Think hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and more! It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce our newly recruited Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members to the thrill of outdoor adventures and get them hooked on the magic of Scouting. Maybe even use an event as a kickoff to the new Cub Scout program adventures related to the outdoors. You can choose from several outdoor electives for each rank. Get ready for a day filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Under a clear blue sky on May 27, 2024, Scouts from the Kaua‘i District gathered at the Hanapepe Veteran’s Cemetery to honor our veterans on Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Scouts have performed this heartfelt service on the Garden Island for decades. This year’s service included Cubs and Scouts from units 148, 148G, 168, 334, 334G, and Troop and Pack 1 from Oʻahu. Approximately 30 Scouts and their leaders came together to decorate the graves with American flags and lei, paying tribute to our fallen heroes.

During the ceremonies, our Scouts were recognized by the Veterans for their service. Mahalo nui loa to all who participated and supported this meaningful tradition.

In recognition of Memorial Day, Scouting America, Aloha Council will uphold its heartfelt tradition of honoring our nation's fallen heroes with the annual lei and flag placement ceremony. This meaningful event, held in partnership with the National Cemetery Administration, an agency within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, instills in our Scouts the importance of duty to country and honoring those who served.

The Memorial Day Good Turn is not only the longest-running but also the largest Scout service project on O‘ahu. Our dedicated Scouts will decorate every grave at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific with flags and flower lei, paying tribute to the brave souls who sacrificed for our freedom.
