What does Direct Access for physical therapy mean? We are here to help keep you active and moving. Thanks to Direct Access legislation, physical therapy patients can now get evaluations and treatments directly from a licensed physical therapist (PT) without first obtaining a doctor's prescription or referral up to 10 days. Terms and conditions: Federal Payers, Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare still requires you to see a physician (M.D.) for a referral to physical therapy for it to be paid for as a covered service. We encourage you to talk to your insurance company to confirm coverage requirements.

Therapist Spotlight! Christopher Bethart, PT, DPT, MDT, Director. Chris has extensive training in manual therapy including but not limited to joint mobilizations, high velocity - low amplitude thrusts of the spine and peripheral joints, MDT techniques and principles of assessment, postural/movement correction with emphasis on core first strategies of spine stabilization, and return to sport rehabilitation. Chris has dedicated his career to enhancing techniques and assessment methods which adjust root cause of pain and dysfunction.
Fitness EXPO 2024 with Christopher Bethart, PT, DPT, MDT, Director. The mission of the Fitness Expo is to educate and inspire HFBC members and guests to live a healthy life. For attendees it is an opportunity to enjoy a healthy lunch, visit the facility, meet the Fitness Ministry Team, and participate in fitness classes, assessments, and screenings. Therapist Spotlight! Madison Trahan, PT, DPT, Physical Therapist. Maddy is a Physical Therapist who grew up in Pearland and stayed in Houston to attend University of Houston. While there she was involved in the Pre-PT/OT organization as well as volunteering with Adaptive Athletics and the Harris Health System PT department. Throughout her schooling she stayed involved with intramurals and continues to stay active in her free time with a special love for softball.
Maddy completed her clinical internships at Ben Taub for acute care, TIRR Memorial Hermann for inpatient spinal cord injury rehab, Houston Methodist โ Pearland for sports/orthopedic outpatient rehab, and Houston Methodist Clear Lake for outpatient ortho/sports/vestibular/oncology rehab.
She believes that every patient should have a good understanding of their condition and plan of care so that they can take ownership in the journey of rehabilitation.
Therapist Spotlight! Angeline Danan, OTR, MOT, Occupational Therapist. Angeline is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapist. It is her passion to provide high quality care for her clients. Angeline was born and raised in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. During her senior year, she was introduced to occupational therapy and completed over 200 volunteer hours at various outpatient hand therapy clinics.
Angelineโs strong interest in hand therapy encouraged her to pursue her Masterโs in Occupational Therapy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She completed a 6-month clinical affiliation at the nationโs first hospital, Penn Medicineโs Pennsylvania Hospital, where she had experiences in acute care and acute inpatient mental health. During her acute care affiliation, she experienced various orthopedic post-operations, such as total shoulder arthroplasty. Angeline completed an elective course focusing on hand therapy interventions. In 2019, Angeline participated in a published independent study titled, โEvaluating Pain and Comfort Differences Between the Bulb and Jamar Dynamometers and Establishing Norms for the Bulb Dynamometer,โ which was presentedat American Occupational Therapy Association 2019 Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
When sheโs not working, Angeline enjoys trying new restaurants, running, and yoga.
Congratulations Kaylee! Your weight-loss journey has been remarkable and inspiring! Kaylee Hedricks, PT, DPT graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Womanโs University in Houston, Texas. Prior to college, Kaylee grew up in Whitehouse, Texas. She has extensive clinical experience working in the outpatient orthopedic setting and has treated a wide variety of orthopedic conditions involving the shoulder, neck, back, knee, hip, ankle and foot. Kayleeโs focus is on providing evidence-based care and comprehensive treatment tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual patient. In her free time, she loves to play golf, watch sports, and spend time with her family and friends.
