Horses are amazing animals! I have seen firsthand how they can change the life of someone who is hurting. In my own life, I have worked with horses for years, beginning as a child - just being able to look up at these huge beasts and then learning to ride and care for them. As an adult, and an Equine Assisted Therapists, I have the lives men, women and adolescents radically impacted by their presence and the experiential therapeutic process of working with them. One young man I worked with told me that "they give me a purpose, that it's like they can see into my soul."

We serve veterans, at-risk youth, first responders and educators. We want to serve this population without regard to their capacity to pay but we need your help.

Horses have a way about them that connects with us on a level that is difficult to comprehend. A horse can feel it when a fly lands on its back. They can also feel our anxiety, depression, anger, and confusion. They meet us where we are, without judgment. Often, they see and reflect our emotions back to us. In moments like this, counseling becomes more than talk but a true experience that allows us to see our truth. When this happens, healing occurs and it is beautiful.

Our new logo represents who we are a little better. We fight like warriors for those we serve. We serve veterans, at-risk youth, first responders and educators with equine assisted therapy and traditional counseling.

People ask, “What difference does a horse make to people who are struggling?”
I believe that it can be the difference between life and death. This young man was part of a group that had tragically lost one of their members recently. He had never been around horses and was scared of them before we started. By the end… well, let’s just say that there was real healing and a genuine connection.

The horses bring healing… I believe God is using these animals to do what traditional therapy won’t-can’t.

This time of year can be both beautiful and tough. Do you need a horse to hug?
This EMT did… after seeing the things they are called upon to respond too.
Our Horses for Healing program seeks to bring equine assisted therapy to our military/veterans and first responders- along with their families.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and would be honored if you would consider joining us in our mission to bring healing to those who sacrifice so much for us.

How can a huge animal be so intuitive? How can they know how we are feeling and mirror it? How can they bring such healing to those who are hurting so much…
Our Horses for Heroes program will answer many of those questions for you.
For now… just know that there is healing.

We are a 501(c)3 and would be honored if you would consider us for your year end giving. Every dollar goes to help veterans, first responders and their families that are hurting.

First Responders save lives. First Responders run into the fire, when all others are running from it. First Responders run toward the fight, the gunfire and tragedy, when everyone else is running for cover. These men and women are heroes!
But they also see things that most of us cannot imagine. This causes nightmares, PTSD and way too many times these heroes end up taking their own lives.
Our mission is to bring healing and restoration to these men and women through our Horses for Heroes program. We will be going to the fire stations, police stations and introducing them to our horses… starting conversations and offering counseling/equine assisted therapy for free to them and their families.

Our Horses for Heroes program is for both active duty military and veterans… not to mention their families. We do individual and group counseling with the horses.
