Hi! Lots of new faces around here, so I thought I’d take a moment to reintroduce myself.
⭐️I’m Allyson, an abstract artist who creates colorful, nature-inspired abstract paintings.
⭐️I’ve been painting abstract art for over 10 years which started with classes after work. But I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. I took classes at MFAH’s Glassell school growing up and always loved entering school art in the Houston Rodeo competition.
⭐️ I’m a wife and mom to two crazy and sweet boys - ages 7 & 4. And mom to a Frenchie named J.P.
⭐️I’ve had a studio in Houston’s  since 2017. I spent a year in Summer Street Studios then moved to Winter Street Studios in February 2018 where I’ve been since.

☕️ My go-to coffee is Katz Coffee Ethiopia Yirgarcheffe for homemade cold brew or Catalina Coffee lattes/iced coffee

Bring the mountains home with my nature-inspired, colorful abstract painting “Finding Emerald Lake.” This piece is a serene, green water-inspired painting that reminds me of the beautiful lakes I hiked with my family on the Bear Lake Trailhead in Rocky Mountain Park a few summers ago. The final lake is Emerald Lake near the top of the trail, surrounded by pine forests and snowy mountains with greens and blues reflecting off the water.

I’m so happy I can finally share the story of this painting, Texas Sun, from Round Top 🌅After a month of sneaking around and diversions, .and.jet.designs gifted this to her sister Amy for her birthday. What a huge surprise for my friend Amy and I loved so much being a part of it! I can’t wait to see the new painting installed.

It’s almost rodeo time, Houston! “Grab Your Boots, Girl # 1” and “Grab Your Boots, Girl # 2” are available original abstract paintings in vintage frames. A perfectly coordinated pair for those of us who like to don our boots all the time (or like me, just occasionally 🤠).
I love the combination of sage green, pinks and copper in these abstract paintings to coordinate with the rustic vintage frames.
