HRC at The Theater Barn!

NEW LEBANON, NY---On July 30th, 2022, at The Theater Barn in New Lebanon, New York, HRC Showcase Theatre will present a staged reading of Touch the Moon, by Arianna Rose. Based on a true story, the play dramatizes the mysterious disappearance of a college student during spring break in 1995.

Although The Theater Barn has recently suspended its own operations for the remainder of the 2022 season, HRC Showcase Theatre’s readings will continue at the Barn.

Playwright Arianna Rose is a recipient of the MAC Song of the Year Award along with numerous best play awards. Her plays and musicals have been produced in twenty-four states and seven countries.

HRC’s Artistic Director Barbara Waldinger will direct the cast, which will include Lora Lee Ecobelli, Caroline Fairweather, Jack Garrity, Caleb Kovalchik, and Carolyn Shields. A talkback will conclude the evening.

The reading will start at 7:30 p.m. General admission. Suggested donation $20.00. No credit cards, please. No reservations required.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature and administered in Columbia County by the Greene County Council on the Arts dba CREATE Council for the Arts. It is also made possible (in part) with funding provided by the Hudson River Bank and Trust Foundation.

To our Dear Audiences,

We are still Here! If you have read of the pause The Theater Barn is taking for the rest of its season, I write to let you know that HRC Showcase Theatre is proceeding with our season there as scheduled, presenting award-winning new plays for audiences at The Theater Barn. We hope you will continue to come to our readings on July 30th and September 10th at 7:30pm.
We can be reached at (518) 750-2066 with questions. For the remainder of the season there is no need to make reservations. The seating will be general admission. We will be accepting donations, (suggested, $20.) in cash and by check.
You can keep up with HRC at our website: hrctheatre.com. At the website, you will find easy access to our season, history, ways to support us through donations and volunteering. And, of course, information about the playwriting contest.
Also note our mailing address: P. O. Box 185, Chatham, New York 12037.
HRC is not currently taking play submissions. We will start again when the seasons of plays already chosen have had their readings in 2023. Playwrights can also contact us through the site.
We are pleased our audiences have come and participated in our talkbacks this season at The Theater Barn. And we look forward to presenting the rest of our season in New Lebanon.
As always, we appreciate your support.

See you soon!
