It was a great night at UAH Invention to Innovation Center (I2C) with Women In Tech // HSV! Great conversation about AI and Congratulations to the winners of this years scholarships (thank you to Signalink, Inc. for supporting this effort)!

If you know of anyone in search of a job right now, the Huntsville Chamber is hosting a free job fair on Tuesday, April 2nd. The Relaunch Job Fair is for individuals looking to change careers, are unemployed, didn’t finish school, etc. The fair is expecting more than 30 companies to attend, with some companies prepared to interview and potentially hire on the spot! Big thank you to the City of Madison, Alabama City Hall and the City of Huntsville, Alabama - Government for signing proclamations honoring the Women's Business Council this week.

We are proud to represent this community of women business owners! Huntsville/Madison County truly is a great place to grow and thrive as an entrepreneur.

There's nothing like a strong group of business women getting work done! This week, a handful of our council traveled down to Montgomery to visit Governor Kay Ivey and watch her sign a proclamation celebrating woman-owned businesses!

We are proud to develop and support the woman-owned business community in the north Alabama region! Keep an eye out for our upcoming networking events.

Free College Application Week!

Apply to UAH free of charge during Alabama College Application Campaign Free App Week, Feb. 19-23 Applying for admission to The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is always easy, but during the week of Feb. 19-23, it’s also cost free. As a participant in the Alabama College Application Campaign (ALCAC) Free App Week, UAH will waive the usual $30 application fee.

The WBC kicked off the first meeting of 2024 at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber! Our council met with the various department leaders of the Chamber to learn more about what they do and how they can be a resource moving forward. We are very excited to get 2024 started with this group!

Join us for a luncheon featuring the fabulous Dr. Patricia Sims, president of Drake State Community & Technical College on Monday, Nov. 13!

Dr. Sims has been president of Drake State, a Historically Black Community College, since 2018. Under her leadership, it has seen a significant increase in state and federal funding, has increased strategic partnerships, and expanded its program offerings.

The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Women’s Business Council (WBC).

Applications will be reviewed, a slate will be presented to the Chamber’s board of directors and next years members will be notified of their selection in December 2023.

The application deadline is close of business (5 p.m.) September 8, 2023.
