One year old sweetheart
Still in the learning phases of puppyhood but very eager to learn and easily correctable
Would be best with older kids as Fiona isn’t always aware of her size 👧🏽 👦🏼
Great with other dogs and cats
No special food or daily meds, but enjoys a night time snack of yogurt to help her belly 🍲
She needs a big fenced in back yard at least 6 feet tall fence because this girl is athletic
Absolutely LOVES chasing balls and playing fetch 🎾
Walks great on a leash
Has learned sit and not to jump. Working on lay down
She has the sweetest personality and loves being with her people 💕

We would like to thank Back 9 Golf & Entertainment and Circle City Brewing Co. for hosting and sponsoring the IBR at last nights event!

We met the most amazingly gracious people and the venue is not only state of the art, but it’s gorgeous and tons of fun!

We raised some much needed funds all thanks to Circle City Brewing’s donations and silent auction. We received several adoption applications and made some incredible connections.

She was a breeder dump 😔 only used for that purpose. So she is working on learning the ways of being a lazy indoor bulldog.

Sweetest girl, but a little slow to warm up to new people
Crate and house trained, working on signaling this to her people 🚽
Quickly learning commands like sit, stay, and shake!

Energy level is between low and medium depending on what she’s doing.

IBR family, we need your help with one of our newest intakes 🆘

Please say hello to Miss Harriet.

She came to us as a stray on the streets with some pretty bad skin issues. Estimated at the age of 7. She is currently undergoing vetting and is getting medicated baths which should help turn her around quick. She just needs some good TLC!

What her foster momma has to say about her:

Extreme case of happy butt wiggles 🥰
Favorite activity is going on long walks 🚶🏻‍♂️
Will roll on her back for belly rubs and cuddles
May be dog selective at this time, but difficult to tell when they’re so new, more to come
Has does well seeing dogs out on walks and doesn’t bark back 🐾
Loves her some pup cups (see video posted below)

As with all of our babies, they just want to be loved and give love in return 💗

Please help us welcome sweet Butter Baby to the IBR family 💗

This ball of love was a breeder dump after they were told they couldn’t have her impregnated at the vets office. This was because she has spina bifida.

This is a neurological condition that can happen in dogs and humans and affects their strength in their legs and their ability to be continent of bowel and bladder.

However, her case is very mild. Within 24 hours of being in her foster home she was roaming around and going up and down small steps by herself. She even trots around and chases her foster sister in the yard (see video in the comments)

Things we LOVE about Butter Baby:

Sweet heart to everyone she meets
Timid at first but gets confident very quickly
Fully continent of bowel and bladder
Good with other dogs 🐶
Cats untested
Great with kids 👧🏼
Crate and house trained
Pocket sized but thickk (50 pounds)
Can go up a few small steps
No daily medications or special food 💊
Only 20 months old!

Things Butter would love about her furever home:

Minimal stairs (or stairs that can be gated off)
Fenced in back yard because she loves to roam
A friend to play with (but also does great on her own)
Someone who can lift her if needed to get in the car or carry down steps if required 💪🏼
Stairs or ramps if needed so she can be with her people

Her degree of spina bifida will not progress as she ages.
Once she’s familiar in her home, you can barely even notice she has any weakness at all. We are so proud of her. She was also raised mostly in a cage inside of a barn.😡 The amount of progress and confidence she’s shown in a short amount of time is truly remarkable.

Amora is a beautiful, 2 year old English Bulldog with brindle-coated and striking blue eyes that will melt your heart. Meet Hermoine (long haired) and Harley.

Their owner passed away and they were taken in by a family member. They do not get with one another at all. They are mom and daughter so that’s not shocking.

The family tried their hardest to acclimate them into a home with other dogs, and it was simply a nightmare. Choosing rescue was the right decision for everyone’s safety and well being.

They just arrived this evening. We are going to assess Hermoine fairly with other dogs but we know Harley is a hard no for pets. She is ready to pounce on sight. 😈

Both are kid friendly. I would venture to say cats wouldn’t be ideal housemates either.

More to come and these divas settle into IBR.

Special thanks to foster mom, Karen, for taking both in. Crate and rotate isn’t ideal but it’s certainly better than the alternatives.

IBR is sending our most heartfelt sympathies to the Eberle Family for their loss of Roxy. She had so many amazing years with this wonderful family.

Dad volunteers as our Santa at the yearly holiday photo event, and it’s been wonderful to keep up with Roxy over the years.
