Becky's Place recently received a grant from the Lawrence County Community Foundation provided to replace the worn-down floor in their dining room. Becky's Place is always grateful the support that the community shows to the homeless women and children in their care.

Did you know that each year Holy Family Shelter in Indianapolis holds a summer camp for their homeless children? This camp provides these children the opportunity to experience the joy and freedom of childhood in a safe and structured environment. It allows the kids to do a variety of experiences, field trips and educational activities to keep them engaged and active during the summer break.
As PTSD Awareness Month comes to a close and we look toward the 4th of July, Catholic Charities Bloomington Counseling Services reminds us to consider about how 4th of July celebrations might affect someone with PTSD. If fireworks, parades, or large crowds are a PTSD trigger for you or someone you know, try these tips to manage symptoms.

Catholic Charities Indianapolis is pleased to welcome Alayna Bechtel as the new Operations Director for A Caring Place Adult Day Service. She recently graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Geriatrics. While in school, she obtained experience in a variety of healthcare settings such as home health and adult day service, where she developed a passion for working with older adults. Most recently, she interned with CICOA’s Dementia Programs department.

Catholic Charities Bloomington Counseling Services is excited to welcome two new interns from the IU School of Education's Mental Health Counseling Program this month. Both are familiar faces around CCB and we are grateful that they entrusted us with part of their counseling education.
CCB offers a rich and intensive internship experience at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Clients, the agency, and the students work together to create a symbiotic living-learning environment that strengthens the entire CCB community.
The Catholic Charities Tell City Table of Blessings program continues to serve meals to anyone in attendance, whether hungry for food or fellowship. This program is a collaboration between Catholic Charities and EUCC and continues to grow as it serves a free hot meal. Everyone is welcome.
