Indy Mega Adoption Event
Indianapolis, like most major cities, has a problem. We have too many homeless animals. Frankly, we’re all pretty tired of the killing.
Each year, thousands are euthanized at municipal animal shelters across central Indiana. Rescue groups do all they can to pull animals from these shelters but they are very limited on space and resources. We know that shelters have the reputation for being sad places and that keeps people like you from visiting. This is where the IndyMega AdoptionEvent comes in. For two days the public is invited
At this time, we do not yet have information to share regarding the next Indy MEGA Adoption Event. We will continue to monitor the situation in hopes of bringing the event back as soon as it is possible to do so. When available, updated information will be posted on this page.
The many wonderful rescue groups and shelters in Indiana continue to need the support of the community. Please consider reaching out to them to foster, adopt, donate or volunteer.

No - THANK YOU!!
On National Nonprofit Day, we honor the more than 1,000 nonprofits the Trust has partnered with since its inception to help people in need, protect animals and nature, and enrich community life. We are grateful for the impact for good nonprofit organizations have on our local communities and across the world.
In light of the current situation and the uncertainties that are our current way of life, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the June MEGA Adoption event. We will continue to monitor the situation in hopes of bringing the event back as soon as it is wise to do so.

Please spread the word. The cats need us!
The shelter is OUT OF SPACE for cats! Over the past few days, we have had an influx in the number of cats surrendered to the shelter and we need YOUR HELP in finding all of these cats new homes!
The shelter is open today until 6pm and ALL adoptions are FREE.

Get those pets vaccinated!! Parvo is killing animals across the city and just like humans, not vaccinating means you’re putting the youngest at risk.
One animal charity is describing the growing problem as a "ticking time bomb" for pets

Hello Mega fans - Sherman here. Once again I come to you to set the record straight about the recent Indy MEGA Adoption Event. The humans try...they really do, but as always the feline species is here to make things right. How on earth these upright beings with weird body hair patterns would ever survive without us is beyond me. I mean, they still can't get it through their big heads that pens, paper, cups and other objects belong on the floor. Until they remember where to put things, we will be there to knock them off the tables accordingly. I know I should not be too hard on them - as this past weekend they were likely mesmerized by the beauty and magic of hundreds of felines that graced them with their presence. We are a sight to behold.
But I digress. I have crunched the numbers, and I come to you today to officially announce that the event did not have 558 adoptions. The June 2019 Indy MEGA Adoption Event yielded 585 adoptions!!!!!
Inferior beings - you are welcome.
