Indy Irish Fest
Indy Go Bragh! We love indy! Thanks for 26 amazing years! www.indyirishfest.com
Indy’s Irish Festival committee, an all volunteer 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, was formed in 1996 to host the first festival. Its mission is to preserve, promote and nurture Irish culture, arts, music, and history. The festival has grown significantly over the years and with it, so has the festival’s support of charities and community organizations. Since its inception, the festival has made donations to or helped community organizations raise more than $80,000.
Since 1995, Indy Irish Fest has brought culture, tradition, and fun to September. It is with a heavy heart, but our Irish eyes still smiling, that we announce that we are unable to continue and are cancelling this year’s Festival.
As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on profits from the year’s previous festival, sponsorships, and donations to put on the Indy Irish Fest. Unfortunately, we do not have the funding to continue into the future. After a year off in 2020, we have not been able to recover financially. We have been unable to make up for the loss of funds and keep up with increased expenses.
We are eternally grateful to every single volunteer who has given their time and talents to the Indy Irish Fest over the last 26 festivals. From Executive Committee members to year-round volunteer “staff” to folks who came to pitch in on the Fest weekends, we could not have done this without you. People have always been at the heart of this endeavor, and we cherished working and laughing together through it all. We thank you!!
Special thank you to anyone who has ever attended the Indy Irish Fest. Fest fans, entertainers, vendors and musicians. Your joy, cheering, and dancing meant the world to us. We hope you had fun and take the memories you made with you for a lifetime. We know we will.
Thank you, Indianapolis, – from the Fairgrounds to Crowne Plaza to Military Park to Garfield Park – we have loved being part of this vibrant community. Thank you for supporting Irish culture and letting us share it with the world. As part of our not-for-profit mission, we have provided scholarships and supported 25+ community organizations with more than $250,000 in funds or in-kind donations since our inception.
While September will have a shamrock-shaped hole in it, we are thrilled at how Indy has grown and thrived over the last quarter-century. There are so many wonderful things about our city, so many cool things to do, and so many amazing people here. We are proud to have been part of it for so long.
Thank you for sharing in our shenanigans!

We are in the process of sending a cease and desist. Please do not purchase any merchandise from that link. Thank you for your continued support and we'll see you in September!
