The Center for At-Risk Elders, Inc. (CARE) recently marked a momentous milestone. We have now served over 900 vulnerable seniors and adults living with disabilities since launching our Volunteer Advocates Program a little over 10 years ago. As we forge ahead in providing quality services to our community and the many individuals we are so fortunate to serve, we stand by our commitment to wrap our legal armor around our clients with fierce compassion, to protect each one from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
The Center for At-Risk Elders, Inc. filed suit yesterday in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on behalf of Adilah Patton, for whom the organization serves as court-appointed guardian. The Center for At-Risk Elders team celebrated IU McKinney School of Law student extern Adam Hall on Monday for completing an intensive program supporting our legal efforts on behalf of clients. Adam shared that he learned so much from our advocacy work. We are so proud of him. Adam plans to continue his legal advocacy by working within the juvenile justice system. We wish him great success.
