Area 31 Career Center supports Career and Technical Education across 11 school districts in Marion, Hendricks, and Morgan Counties. The following programs are offered through Area 31:

That's a wrap on our first full week of school! Here's just a snippet of the amazing things happening at Area 31.
• Integrated Mechanics students practiced soldering wire.
• Radio Broadcasting Year 1 students were live on the air.
• EMS & Auto Service got together to discuss Bruce Litton's 2006 and 2008 crashes and the impact those had on the car chassis and him.
• Pre-Nursing students were hard at work taking notes in their Medical Terminology course.
• Welding students were in the lab learning and inspecting their equipment.
• Cosmetology students worked on perfecting their lock curls.
• TV Broadcasting students had to present about themselves and use that information to connect with each other to create a news segment.
• In Precision Machining, Mr. Hill was demonstrating to students how to operate a surface grinder.

Early Childhood Education is a popular Area 31 program and we are fortunate to welcome Ms. Lauren Jordan to the role of ECE Teacher! Ms. Jordan's wealth of creativity will help grow and strengthen the program.

In less than two weeks, Area 31 will welcome the next class of young professionals! With Area 31 Career Programs serving 11 school districts, it's important to know your start date as it may differ from your home school's start date. Attendance on the start date of your Area 31 class is required.

Stop by the Aviation Technology Center near the Indianapolis International Airport this Saturday from 10am-3pm for their annual Community Day! Sit in the cockpit of a real plane, pilot a flight simulator, ride on the Boilermaker Special, and more! Area 31 will also be there to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming school year. Stop by our table for some free swag!

In Wayne Township, construction students build a house and a career The pandemic put a pause on Area 31 Career Center’s annual build. But students are back this year with a new home on Indy’s west side.
It has been a fantastic year at Area 31! While we are sad to see our seniors go, we cannot wait to celebrate all that they accomplish. For those who are returning next year, we look forward to welcoming you back on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Information regarding next school year will be sent out via mail in early July. Today, some of the Auto Service Capstone students had the opportunity to visit a hidden gem in Clermont. As soon as they walked in there was a collective "WOW!" Thank you, Bruce Litton, for welcoming our students to your shop and providing a first-hand experience of what it takes to run a drag racing team.

This week, the students at Area 31 Brownsburg took the Indiana Jail Officer Certification assessment, with 4️⃣2️⃣ students earning their certificate! That brings the total number of certs earned between the two Area 31 campuses to 6️⃣5️⃣‼️ Congratulations, to all!
Congratulations to Area 31 Brownsburg Cybersecurity students, Phoenix Glover and Jolie Biddle! They earned their CISCO Beginning Level Certification (CBLC) this morning! This certification tests the student's knowledge and skills related to network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, and infrastructure maintenance.
