There’s nothing like summer in Indianapolis.

This is my 4th year since and I decided to move here together from Reno, NV. We arrived in very late June so the 4th of July was one of the first big memories after getting here.

I love a good anniversary. A time to reflect and look at how far we’ve come. How much has changed.

Indy has been a great home to me these past few years and cant thank her enough for that. ❤️

Well that didn’t suck.

Traveling across the country with Terra these past few days has been wonderful. We’ve been really hauling ass to get to Reno, but all the time in the car has been so smooth and lovely. I’m happy to be in Reno now and recuperating some lost energy from the long driving days.

A few highlights.
- we avoided tornadoes in the midwest
- we saw Cadillac ranch
- I got trapped in a truck stop stall
- we saw the Grand Canyon
- the dogs have been loving all the time together

If I didn’t see I’m not sure I’d have believed it.

Larry Cooper in his fully independent album released today entitled “Must Die” beautifully captures the mystery, the agony, the sorrow, the beauty, and the magic behind giving your whole self to something and then he vulnerably illustrates the inexplicable pain, endurance, and the power of climbing, and at times crawling, dragging the weight of our bloodied souls back up the road that leads us to finding home within ourselves after we’ve lost it.

This is something that many who have loved have experienced and Larry, the poet that he is, put his and our own feelings on the table to see it from a birds eye view.

Am I biased? Yes. You bet your ass I am.

I took this photo, which Larry later made into his artwork, back almost exactly 5 years ago, when life looked very different for us both.

I’m so grateful to have a friend like him to walk along this path with.

I’m so proud of you. 😭
