This week is a very exciting week at Hidden Falls Camp as there are two different camps happening at once. Some kids will have a chance to camp in tents and experience nature up close, and others will participate in the discipleship camp to grow more deeply in their faith.

Yesterday was a success! The Salvation Army Fountain Square had a Back-to-School community event. Thank you to all the volunteers and those who donated these school supplies to help kids start their school year on the right foot.

Anyone is welcome to visit The Salvation Army Fountain Square on July 9th from 4-6pm. We will have backpacks for all sizes, elementary to high school, and plenty of school supplies like pencils, paper, notebooks, folders, colored pencils, rulers, glue, and much more! We are so thankful to the Lawrence County Community Foundation for this amazing grant. The grant funds will be used to support our Emergency Assistance Program in Lawrence County. This program serves as a critical safety net in the community by providing immediate financial assistance to any county resident who presents an urgent qualifying need such as rent, utility bills, food, necessary transportation, and medical necessities.

We are committed to supporting access to basic needs in our communities, but we can’t do it alone. We’re excited to have received a grant from Glick Philanthropies’ for our Service Extension of Jackson County, our Eagle Creek corps, and our corps in Porter County. This grant will support our mission to provide help and relief to those who are struggling in these communities.

A much deserved honor was bestowed on Joy Carlson last month. She was a member of the Warsaw, IN women's Auxillary and has been supporting The Salvation Army and serving her community in amazing ways for many years. Thank you for caring for you community Joy, we honor you.
