Over the course of this year, we have seen 8,646 unique individuals walk through our doors at Wheeler Mission.

Our generous community has made help, healing, and hope possible for these unique guests this year. Through God’s love, and our community’s support and prayers, people have been transformed from hurting to hopeful.

Meet Ned Walker, a resident of ours!

Before coming to Wheeler Mission, Ned had difficulty taking responsibility for his decisions. With the time he has spent at Wheeler and the Horizon House Program, he has learned a huge less about learning to not be scared to ask for help.

Thank you to Northview Church for hosting a Welcome Kit Packing Night, where they made 500 welcome bags!

We now have enough welcome bags for at least 5 months for our guests who come into the emergency shelters. This means so much to our residents.

We have a growing demand for diapers and we need your help!

We celebrated two of our preschoolers becoming big kindergarteners this month! 🎉 Classes lined the Compass Kids hallway while cheering on the soon-to-be kindergarteners!

Meet Ashley Wright!

Ashley’s biggest challenge before coming to the mission was the fact that she would be separated from her children if she did not receive help. When she came to Wheeler Mission, she was blown away by the compassion, love, and joy she witnessed when she walked in the doors.

Wheeler Mission gave Ashley a stronger relationship with God and a new perspective on life.

Wheeler Mission Pallets & Industry is a program business created specifically to support Wheeler Mission’s Hebron addictions recovery program at Hunt Training Center. ✝️

Men in recovery spend part of each day developing a positive work ethic while creating revenue to partially offset the costs of running the program. Our goal is full reintegration as a productive member of society, living a life pleasing to God, and supporting one’s family!

125 years ago, a woman named Mary Wheeler and her friends founded and operated a refuge for neighboring women in desperate need – a refuge known today as Wheeler Mission.

Their legacy of female philanthropy and service lives on in our newly formed Mary Wheeler Circle, an association for women to help other women!
