No prior experience or equipment necessary, but feel free to bring your own. Yoga mats will be provided by the Student Wellness and Health Promotion Center on a first come first serve basis.

SOAR advocates for and supports marginalized, underserved student communities. Our Center wants to create substantial change and stand with students during the COVID-19 pandemic and national protests against systemic anti-Blackness. Students can apply for this scholarship multiple times during the academic year. Funds will be allocated on a case-by-case basis with review by a committee. Preference for covering housing application fees, book and technology fees, and any other educational costs will be given higher priority. Undergraduate and graduate students from all majors are encouraged to apply. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. For questions or concerns, please email SOAR ([email protected]).

Happy Womxn’s Month! We’ll be posting about the amazing womxn across the UC Irvine campus! To kick it off, meet Dr. Tonya Williams Bradford!

Dr. Tonya Williams Bradford is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Paul Merage School of Business and the Inclusive Excellence Term Chair Professor. I am the faculty advisor for doctoral students and have also advised undergraduate students with their honors thesis. I am involved in many other things on campus (e.g., Graduate Council) and the broader academy (e.g., Co-Chair of the Association of Consumer Research Conference).

Dr. Bradford is a world changing woman UC Irvine is lucky to say is apart of our community. Thank you for all you do and all you have done for women of color in your career thus far!
