We hope all of our students had as much fun as Mrs. Lambert had today! Today, was Attendance Counts, Surprise Day! All students in attendance got to sq**rt the principal with water! We can not wait until October’s surprise day for our next big fun event! You are not going to want to miss it! Everyday counts!

Attend today, succeed for life! You can ask almost any kid what their favorite part of their day is and you will hear recess and lunch! Recess and lunch allows kids to build essential life skills, working together, waiting one’s turn, following directions, how to interact with peers, etc! We loved seeing how much fun our kids had today!

Attendance Awareness Week! September 11th-15th! Attendance counts, every student every day!

We were so excited to meet our newest Eagles at todays Kinder’s meet and greet and signing day! Each kiddo signed pledging to ROCK, to have Resilience, take ownership, work as a community, and show kindness!

Have your students come out and enjoy some fun on Saturday! Our campus will be open from 8 to 12. Your child will need to have a permission slip signed. Reach out to the office for more details!

We will be handing out free shoes that were donated to the school. They are women’s sizes 7-9. Limit one per person. While supplies last.

There are so many exciting events happening on campus in May! We are excited for all the fun experiences for our students and the lasting memories they will create!

On this Wellness Wednesday, I received some great wisdom from my new friend Rudy at Van Buren Elementary School: Sometimes it’s nice to sit outside and have a snack, he said. For Rudy, that was a PB & J. Thanks, Rudy, for that great advice. It’s a busy time of year. Check out our 2nd grade students who had the opportunity to present at the Cue Conference in Palm Springs! Cue is ed teach conference that educators attend to learn ways to incorporate technology into lessons. Thank you Mr. Atkinson’s 2nd graders for representing VB and showing off your amazing tech skills.
