We are looking for clubhouse attendants at the golf course to work this fall.
Duties include:
▪️ Selling golf course permits, merchandise, and renting golf cart equipment to the public using a tablet for point of sales.
▪️ Taking course reservations and answering questions over the telephone and/or in person.
▪️ Preparing and selling concession items including food, beverages, and alcohol.
▪️ General maintenance and cleaning of the clubhouse, concession facilities, and grounds.
▪️ Other related duties as assigned.

City pools are expected to re-open for the weekend as previously scheduled: Anderson pool operating on Friday and Sunday; Washington Pool on Saturday. Sunday is the last day for pool operations this season.

All swimming options are open today!
Anderson AND Washington Pools open, AND swimming at the beaches! Pools open at 10:00!

Please remember the Lake Michigan beaches are NOT supervised with lifeguards. Always use caution when swimming in the lake.

Personal floating devices are allowed in the pools and we have some to rent. If you bring your own, make sure it's Coast Guard Certified.

Lake Michigan water quality has improved! Swimming is allowed at all beaches 🏖️.

Great news!! 🎉

Both pools will be open Thursday and Friday this week!!

This is the first time both pools have been open in years! Come out and celebrate this milestone with us!

⚠️ Out of precaution, today we are expanding the ban to include no swimming at Simmons Island park.

The beaches remain open, but citizens are advised to avoid contact with the water.

Eichelman and Southport remain closed.

Testing and monitoring will continue and we will update you with any changes.

The Rotary Tournament isn't cancelled! Our crews are working hard to get all the water off the fields and adding new diamond dry 🦸🏼‍♂️. We are hoping 🤞 fields will be ready by early afternoon. 🥎

It's a great night to come to Washington Pool to enjoy some swimming and learn about water safety!

The event runs from 5-8 and is free!

LIFEJACKETS!! You may rent one of ours for infants and children up to 50 lb, or bring your own - it must have a Coast Guard Certified stamp to be allowed.

Anyone interested in applying for Lifeguarding and Pool Attendants may continue to submit applications online.

Interested in joining our team as a lifeguard this summer? We will be offering two Red Cross Lifeguard Certification courses at NO COST to approved applicants! Here are the details:

- June 19 - 21 from 8 AM - 3 PM daily (Registration deadline: June 17th)

-June 25 - 28 from 11 AM - 4 PM daily (Registration deadline: June 19th)

Approved applicants must complete 7 hours of online coursework before the dates listed above.

This benefit is in ADDITION to the bonus pay! Lifeguards can earn up to $200 at the end of the season.

Washington Park Municipal Golf Course will be closed 5/7/24 due to wet conditions.

What Does Drowning Look LIke? It is very important to know what drowning looks like. Most people are not aware that the majority of victims never call for help. A distressed swimmer is able to call for help for only a short amount of time. If they are not rescued quickly, they turn into an active drowning victim.

CLOSURE NOTICE:
The tennis court and pickleball courts at Pennoyer Park will be closed beginning Wednesday, April 24 through the rest of the week. Our contractor will be installing fence between the courts!!

We're looking forward to this improvement and ask for your patience while work is being done.

You may utilize one of our other pickleball courts at Gangler, Lincoln, or Roosevelt Park while work is being done. You will need to bring your net to these locations.

Tennis is available at Lincoln, Gangler, Washington, and Roosevelt Park.
