Remember when we told you to keep an eye on our Instagram? It was so we could introduce you to our exciting ISSS Education Abroad Showcase contribution!
This month's Cultural Cafe will feature presenters from Colombia and Egypt.
So, now, many of you may be asking "What is a Cultural Cafe?".
It is a monthly event sponsored by ISSS to highlight our students and the countries they come from. Two speakers present information about their home countries while the audience gets to learn about their culture and experience a very important part of it...the food!
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
The Education Abroad Showcase is starting this week, and to celebrate we are introducing our Cultural Cafe presenters! First up is our presenter from Colombia, Laura Mendez Carvajal, who has been to over 20 countries so far! Next, we have Karim Hassan, our Presenter from Egypt. One fun fact about him is that he has never eaten sushi or been to Starbucks before.
Come out and see their presentations this Wednesday, September 21st, at 12-1:30PM in the Student Center.
And don't forget- this whole week is the Education Abroad Showcase. Use the QR code on the last slide of this post to see what other fun things Education Abroad has planned!
