Your student services team hard at work. Ensuring that all students have have all they need to learn and "strive for excellence"!
REMINDER for all Parents/Students: All students MUST scan both ON and OFF the bus every morning and afternoon. All students should have been given an ID from their school. If you do not have one, please request one from your school administrator. Students will scan their own school id barcode/QR code at the front of the bus when getting on and off.
Parents: please download the Here Comes the Bus app as you can monitor your student’s bus scans with real-time notifications. Remind your students to always have their ID and to scan both ON/OFF the bus daily. You can also download a QR code from Here Comes the Bus for easy scanning.
https://herecomesthebus.com/ School Code: 73760
Our goal is 100% student scans! Let’s work together to reach this goal and keep our students safe.
We've made some changes to our dress code. Monday is now "spirit shirt" day and Wednesday is "college shirt" day.
Parents, please be aware that the Osceola School District's medical option form has been changed for the 2024-2025 school year. The new form requires parents to opt-in to any medical services for their children, instead of opting out as in years past. If a parent does not opt in, or does not make a selection, the school nurse will not provide medical services to your child. Only emergency medical services would be permitted.
Parents are asked to please log in to their FOCUS Parent Portal account and complete their medical opt-in/opt-out selection prior to the beginning of school. Besides being a "one-stop shop" for completing necessary educational forms and updating your child's important information, the FOCUS Parent Portal gives parents the opportunity to log in regularly to monitor your child’s progress and attendance in school throughout the school year. Information on how to create a Parent Portal account can be found at: https://bit.ly/3LY3Sij.
Be part of Neptune’s tradition of winning! Cross country tryouts begin tomorrow directly after school until 5:45 pm. Meet coach Matt at the locker rooms immediately after dismissal. Bring water, shoes, and clothes to run in!

ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENTS! All student athletes must have an Aktivate account and must complete the Annual ImPact Concussion Test to participate in middle and high school athletics. The instructions to create an account are posted below.
Our Athletic Physical Night is tomorrow 8/13 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. All student athletes must have a physical on file to participate.

Parents who would like to ask the Transportation Department questions are encouraged to do so in one of two ways:
1) Osceola School District’s Transportation Hotline is now open and can be reached by calling 407-483-3673 Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2) Parents can also select the “Let’s Talk” tab on the school district’s website at www.osceolaschools.net to begin a dialogue with our Transportation Department.
Parents are encouraged to submit questions online in English or Spanish, and they will be answered in a timely manner via a return email. Our dedicated team in Transportation is here to ensure that your child's journey to and from school is safe and timely.
We look forward to serving you and your child during the upcoming school year!
Join us for our Meet The Teacher events!

This week we had over 100 new Seahawks attend our 6th grade orientation camp. At camp they learned all about what it takes to be a 6th grader at the best middle school in Osceola County. Go Seahawks!!!
See below for important information about laptop distribution.
The deadline to register for our 6th Grade Transition Camp is Sunday July 14. See the post below for details about our camp and to register. The following messsage was emailed to all parents of registered students:
The largest of WELCOMES to our newest Seahawks and their parents. Thank you so much for registering your child to participate in this summer's 6th grade orientation camp. The transition from elementary to middle school can be a stressful one for our newest students and their parents. Our goal is completely prepare our incoming Seahawks for the intricacies of middle school. During this week we will have teachers from each of our core subjects cover standards from the 1st quarter. A huge component of our camp will be to teach all students Neptune specific policies and procedures, with special attention given to what makes Neptune Middle School unique, and quite honestly the best middle school in Osceola County.
Our 6th grade camp is being held July 15-18. Students may be dropped off in the car loop in front of the main office as early as 8:30 am. The gate to the bus loop is closed due to construction. All students must be in appropriate school attire. Appropriate shorts, t-shirt, and closed toed sneakers will suffice. No pajama pants, no crocs, shorts/slacks may not have holes and or rips. During our other summer programs we require students to be in "dress code" complete with our traditional color polos. This is not required for this camp as we understand that our new parents may still be acquiring Neptune specific polos. Students will not need book bags and or school supplies. We will provide all supplies for the camp. Students may bring their phones to camp. Please be aware that students will be asked to turn all devices off at the start of the day. Parents needing to communicate with their child may call the front office. It is recommended that all students bring a snack and a water bottle. Parents may pick-up their student from the same drop off location at 1:00 pm.
Once again, WELCOME, WELCOME, WELCOME!!! We are really excited to meet our new 6th graders. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Have a great day.
