Today Osceola County Schools recognizes Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history dating back to June 19, 1865 when news of President Lincoln’s 1863 Emancipation Proclamation reached enslaved African Americans in Texas. This day represents freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey towards equality and justice for all.
At Osceola County School District, we are committed to creating a welcoming environment where every student and staff member feels valued and respected. Let's take this day to reflect on our shared history, recognize the achievements of Black Americans, and reaffirm our dedication to creating a brighter future for all.

Congratulations to all students on a successful 2023-2024 school year! We finished the last day of school with a clap out for our 8th graders. In just 4 short years, we’ll welcome them back for their grad walk! In that time span, we hope you remember to use all you’ve learned here at Bellalago in your next chapter and pay it forward! Happy Summer, everyone!
On the last day of school we celebrated students with perfect attendance. Such dedication to your education-continue to make us proud!
End of Year Testing Incentives
Mr. Johnston and Ms. Z were the splash tower targets for 3rd-8th graders who were proficient on 2 or more tests-boy did they get soaked! In addition, students had snow cones and cotton candy!
We also recognized our K-8 students for being present during the testing season with popcorn. We first must show up to learn before we can show what we’ve learned. We are proud of our Mariners’ accomplishments this school year!

We recognized the academic and civic accomplishments of our students this week as we celebrated our Principal’s Gold Honor students in grades 3-5, as well as recognizing our National Junior Honor Society inductees from last year whom inducted our new members and pledged them in. We are very proud of our Chapter as it continues to grow, and look forward to all they will accomplish next school year. Congratulations! 🎈
Students and families attended our Title 1 event last night, meeting teachers for the next school year to learn how to support their child at home. Families enjoyed refreshments and chatting with one another about summer plans and their excitement for their child heading to the next grade level. Students left with a Mariner bag that held a book to read over the summer, as well as math flash cards so they continue their learning.

Class of 2024 former Bellalago students came back today for one more walk down memory lane before they cross the stage this week and graduate 🎓 from high school. Our current Mariners were there to show their support and cheer 📣 them on as they took their Grad Walk. It’s a long-standing tradition we look forward to at the end of each school year. Once a Mariner, always a Mariner! ⚓️❤️
Congratulations to the Class of 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣! 🎉
Mrs. Bogar’s STEM students held their Engineering Expo this evening. It was great to see students taking pride in their work and educating visitors on their project from this school year.
As we approach the end of the academic year, here is an important update regarding district devices over the summer break to ensure our students' academic success and the overall functionality of our technology resources.
Students in Kindergarten through First Grade will be able to take their iPads home over the summer. Schools will begin collecting all Grade 2-12 student laptops as soon as testing is completed this spring. Our IT Department needs uninterrupted access to laptops over the summer to conduct necessary maintenance, to update devices to Windows 11, and to complete any needed repairs. This ensures that the devices will be in optimal condition for the upcoming academic year.
Only students who will be attending summer school and returning to their same school in the fall will have their laptops redistributed back to them by the end of the school year. High school Juniors and Seniors who will be participating in academic Boot Camps and/or testing over the summer will also have a laptop issued back to them at the start of summer from their home school. If your student is enrolled in summer school and does not get a device, please check with your student’s school to obtain a computer.
Parents and students will be notified at the end of July about their school’s laptop distribution for the start of school in August.
We are extremely proud of our 8th graders 💙 Finishing 8th grade is just the beginning. Now, you brace yourself to embrace the new challenges that lie ahead in high school‼️ “Be inspired, stay motivated, and never give up!” Special thanks to Ms. Rodriguez for making this event happen and to all the 8th grade teachers for their support 💚
