We’re devastated to share heartbreaking news. Our Founder lost their 17-year-old nephew after he was tragically poisoned with fentanyl, thinking he was buying a pill to get high.
Please, please, PLEASE, if you’re using drugs, experimenting, use ALL the strips available to test them.

Kimberly is a Recovery Support Specialist, Firestarter for Wellbriety, and Warrior Down Coach. She also goes by her Indian name, Tacha Waste Winyan, which translates to Good Deer Woman. Kimberly represents a blend of heritage encompassing Tsalagi (Cherokee Nation), Scottish, Irish, and English ancestry. Kimberly is not only a significant figure within her family but also within her cultural and spiritual communities. She is a dedicated Sundancer and a practitioner of Traditional Native American customs. As a Sacred Pipe (Chanupa) Carrier, she upholds sacred traditions. Her commitment to the Red Road, a spiritual and healing path, spans over 28 years. Moreover, she has been on a journey of recovery for more than three decades, embracing a life of sobriety.
Her outreach extends to her work with diverse populations. Since 1995, she has worked with Native American women, women with children, men, and youth. Her dedication also extends to other communities. She is a prominent figure within the Wellbriety Movement, serving as a firestarter and hosting multiple Wellbriety meetings weekly. Kimberly is also skilled in art expression through her training in A Window Between Worlds. Her expertise includes Guided Energy Medicine, certified by The Shamanic Academy.
What sets The Happier Life Project apart from Kimberly's perspective is the profound dedication of the Peer Recovery Support Specialists. These individuals wholeheartedly devote themselves to aiding those in need. Under the guidance of adequate supervision, they remain focused and motivated. However, the ultimate credit goes to the visionary Executive Director who breathed life into the project, making it a beacon of support for the community.

Drum therapy is an ancient approach that uses rhythm to promote healing and self-expression. Therapeutic rhythm techniques have been used for thousands of years to create and maintain physical, mental, and spiritual health. Recent research indicates that drumming accelerates physical healing, boosts the immune system, produces feelings of well-being, and helps release emotional trauma. Drumming also induces deep relaxation, lowers blood pressure, and reduces stress.
