Pacific City to hike the dune and sunset s’mores, Cape Meares light house, Tillamook Creamery, University of Oregon & Track Town Pizza, the Space Needle & a Mariners game, Powell’s & Cane’s at Pioneer Place. We covered a lot of ground! Can’t wait to have them back and show them even more! 🥰

Snow days look so different with a teenager! Not better or worse just different. Instead of making Fancy Nancy snowgirls and sledding we have been baking and watching true crime shows. (And giggling at Frank and Maple as they were ice skating in the yard 😆) The extra time is always welcome though I think we could do without the ice. I love nature’s reminder to be present and make the most of the time you have when you have it. ❄️

We’ve reached the part of this storm where Kelly bakes. Zucchini bread turned into muffins because I’d already made banana bread and the loaf pan was in the dishwasher. Killian and I ventured out yesterday in her car for Jimmy John’s. It was a much needed trip and we drove the long way home just because. Anyone else feeling a little 2020 vibes?

Congratulations to my sellers on closing day! Very early on in my real estate career, a more experienced agent told me not to become the agent that says things like 'what's meant to be is meant to be.' Except, I often think what's meant to be IS meant to be. 🫣

Just when we thought the door was closed for our buyers, it opened again, even in this tricky market. Patience is a virtue, what's meant to be is meant to be, trust the process, what's meant for you will always find a way...sometimes the platitudes are true! My clients were all the things you hope for...patient, trusting and confident in what they needed - making decisions easy and quick. When you know you know!

These closing days are really new beginnings...it never ceases to amaze me how lucky I am to help people on this journey. We don't buy and sell houses everyday and being one small part of my clients' lives is pretty special.

19 years ago today my husband and I closed on our first house in Sherwood. We were scheduled to see another house in town but it was pending before we had the chance to walk through. We were the first people to see this little beauty with the oversized yard. We fell in love immediately! We moved in with 3 cats and big dreams...

Over the next 9 years we would add 2 rescue dogs and a baby girl, we survived the winter storm of 2008, and grieved the loss of grandparents and many of our sweet pets. Our girl started pre-school in this house and we moved out just before she started Kindergarten. We wanted a little more space but knew we wouldn't leave Sherwood...two houses later, and Killian now a sophomore at the high school, we can't imagine a better community to call home. Filled with decades of friendships and growth, both personally and for the town itself, it's not lost on me how being in the right place at the right time has given us this life, these friends, these memories.

I have taken a break from social media to spend highly intentional time with family and friends these last few weeks but this is too sweet not to share.
I am committed to doing the very best job for my clients. Part of that includes working well with the agent on the other side. If you haven't hiked the hard side of Spencer Butte and followed that with you haven't lived. Actually I nearly died but I did much better this time around! Last time I was there was back in college, on Valentine's Day with other lonely singles (you know who you are!), and I sprained my ankle on the way down. 😭🤣

Going up with my sweet family was so fun! We were sweaty and dirty and it was glorious! The pizza was the cherry on top! 🙌🏻🍕

This beauty got a facelift! Doesn't she look amazing? New exterior paint in Sherwin Williams' Peppercorn for the body, Tricorn Black for the front door with Extra White trim. It's such a pretty combination! And check out that deck with its new stain. All of the trees and flowers are in bloom and you won't find a more serene spot to entertain.

I warned my clients I wasn’t sure what this post would say! I could paint a rosy picture, or I could tell the truth…and I’m nothing if not honest! Short story…we closed today! Congratulations to my clients and to the new owners! ❤️

Long story, my clients have been through the wringer. We all wanted to give up at one time or another during this process. Many things were happening outside of our control, and we asked ourselves often, “what is the lesson?” I’m not sure we know the lesson yet…we took it one day at a time, one showing at a time, one conversation at a time. We did what we could do and that was our best.

Sitting around the table yesterday while they were signing purchase and sale documents, we laughed so hard (bordering on hysterical) and we took a deep breath. I think, I hope we will all sleep better tonight, and I hope we don’t do this again for a very long time! 🤣

Thank you, friends, for trusting me even when it seemed we wouldn't get here. Didn't I say we would laugh when this is all over? We are laughing, right?! 😘

Buying and selling your home is not easy, it comes with unpredictable challenges and my job is to press on and remind you what is on the other side. I am here for it all.

Getting back to work today was tough! I miss my people! 😭

We had the best time celebrating my littlest niece’s 1st birthday in Austin. We’ve been taking this trip for 10 years now and even though it has changed so much…it is the same. My nieces and nephew are precious, my whole family is precious. Being so far away makes the time we are together absolute magic. Hug your people every chance you get…💞

Good news...bad news...

I'll start with the bad news...this sweet house in back on the market...thankfully it had nothing to do with the house but we are disappointed nonetheless. We were through our inspection period and well on our way to closing. Circumstances changed for the buyer. This is the reality of real estate. (This is why you need a real estate agent you trust, you like, and you can talk to 437 times a day.)

Now, the good news! We know the right buyer is out there. We're excited the opportunity has been presented for that buyer. As of today, we are the ONLY house on the market between $550k-$650k in Sherwood. Don't wait!

💖 S O L D 💖 We did it! Buying a house from out of state is hard! My clients came up as often as they could to see homes and we saw a lot. When we walked through this new construction home we were all a little surprised (and relieved!) to say, "this is it!"
