To the person(s) who dumped this cat at our thrift store, SHAME ON YOU! When we tell people we are full, we are serious. We have absolutely NO space or resources to take in this kitty & will have to take him or her to the pound, which means he/she will likely be euthanized. People, please be responsible for your pets...they are not garbage that can just be tossed out!😡

SHAS will hold an adoption event at Casa Autoplex, 470 W Boutz, on Saturday, April 20th at their Veterans Memorial Car Show. Gates for the car show open at 7am, but because our adorable, adoptable cats & dogs need a little extra time to be "show ready", the adoption event will be from 9:30am-1:30pm. All pets adopted from our no-kill, nonprofit sanctuary are "fixed", fully vaccinated, tested for diseases, treated for any & all medical needs & microchipped. The car show is free to spectators. There will be trophies, door prizes & live music. Food proceeds will benefit veterans organizations. So mark your calendars to come out for a fun-filled day, pay tribute to our amazing veterans & make a new 4-legged furry friend.🐾❤️

🌬The winds are supposed to return tomorrow & windy weather leads to more dogs getting loose. Please do your outdoor dogs a favor & check that your gate is securely closed (& locked) & that there are no areas in the yard that offer an easy escape. Also, make sure your pup has a collar & tags, as well as a microchip that has been registered with CURRENT owner contact info. These simple steps could save your pooch's life! 🐾🩷

One of them might be the gold at the end of your rainbow 🌈 just waiting for you to find them 😍! URGENT, PLEASE HELP! This kitty was dumped at our thrift store this morning. We are above capacity & have absolutely no space or fosters who can help. If you know someone who can take him/her, please let us know ASAP (BEFORE 3PM) or we will be forced to take him/her to the local shelter. We are short staffed, so please call & LEAVE A MESSAGE at 575-805-5338 if you can help. Now the soap box: People PLEASE be responsible for the animals you own or feed & have them spayed or neutered...it can literally mean the difference between life or death! And to the people who thought they could force this innocent pet on us, shame on you for putting us in this position!
