Youth In Action of Las Vegas, Nevada Youth In Action is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt organization. Youth In Action is operated in Las Vegas, Nevada by a governing board consisting of members of the community, leaders of community organizations and youth elected by their peers.
The youth of Youth In Action have created a clothing closet in order to assist parents who might be struggling to make ends meet during the current financial crisis that we are facing all over America; including here in our very own Las Vegas. As people are being laid off, experiencing salary reductions, homes getting foreclosed, more people becoming homeless; being able to purchase school clothing for their children becomes difficult under these circumstances and Youth In Action wants to help!
The youth of Youth in Action have donated and collected gently used clothing in order to be able to give back to those in need. If you or someone you know needs assistance in providing clothing for a child, please contact the Youth In Action office or e-mail us with the parents/guardian contact information and sizes needed so that we can be of assistance.
If you have the ability and would be interested in donating gently used clothing in order to keep our closet, please contact the Youth In Action office or email us with your contact information in order to schedule a pick up.
This is a great way to give back to those in need.

For those of you who need eyeglasses to see clearly, you know the difference eyeglasses make in the quality of your life. According to the World Health Organization, 153 million people have uncorrected refractive errors (near-sightedness, far-sightedness or astigmatism). Many people living in developing countries cannot afford the cost of a pair of eyeglasses.
Youth In Action is collecting eyeglasses that are no longer being used. These unused eyeglasses you no longer need can change another person's life. Imagine if you could help a child or adult see in order to read. An adult succeed in his job. A senior maintain her independence.
If you have used eyeglasses you no longer need, please donate them to Youth In Action. Youth In Action has teamed up with a local optometrist who has offered to help the cause by identifying the prescription strength so that they can be properly packaged and sent to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact.
You can help by packaging your old eyeglasses (prescription and reading glasses, sunglasses and plastic and metal frames will be accepted. Children's glasses are especially needed) and mailing them to the following address:

School Counselors:
I would like to take just a moment and introduce Youth In Action (YIA) to you. Youth In Action is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt organization. Youth In Action is operated in Las Vegas, Nevada by a governing board consisting of members of the community, leaders of community organizations and youth elected by their peers.
We are involved in community service projects such as feeding the homeless, covering graffiti, visiting the elderly in convalescent homes, just to name a few. Our latest project was teaming up with YudaBands. Our youth raised funds in order to cover the costs associated with the education of a child in a 3rd world country for one (1) year.
Youth In Action understands the important role that school counselors have in the lives of our youth. Many times being the first and only source for a child in need. The youth have started a “Youth In Action Closet” and have donated clothing in order to assist those in need. If you know any youth that are in need of clothing, please email YIA at: [email protected] with sizes, gender and age of the youth in need. A member of the YIA staff will deliver the clothing to you at your school so that you can assist those children.
Our Mission:
Providing the tools, resources and experience to the leaders of tomorrow in order to enhance the livelihood of the members of the community in which they reside, in the world that they live in; by giving their time, talents and visions for a prosperous life for all.
Our Vision:
Our vision is a community where youth are empowered to create positive change and the community offers the assistance to our youth to make a difference.
I look forward to hearing from you and working with you in order to enhance the livelihood of our youth. Please provide this information to any other school personnel or entity that you may have a relationship with that would be able to also assist the youth of our community.
Thank you,
Betty Luna
