Yesterday there was a screening event of the short documentary Saving Snow by Diogo Castro Freire. It documents the economic and social implications of climate change on businesses dependent on snowfall (i.e. ski lodges, etc.). More information is available at:

Today we had the pleasure of going to the UNLV Community Garden to tour, taste, and harvest. The UNLV Student Nutrition & Dietetic Association (SNDA) prepared yummy vegan food with fresh, organic ingredients, right from the garden! Cielo Gumabon was nice enough to show the new comers around, and everyone left with an abundance of fresh veggies and herbs! UNLV Student Sustainability Council UNLV Community Garden
