The goal of the Employ NV Business Hub is to create a one-stop access point where employers can connect with the resources they need to recover and grow, at no cost to their bottom line. Each hub is staffed with workforce development personnel trained to offer employers access to talent recruitment, financial incentives, funding, and resources for startups and existing businesses.

This week, we celebrate two years of serving local employers at the Employ NV Business Hub inside the Vegas Chamber! 🎉

On September 18, 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the first in Nevada opened inside our state's largest chamber of commerce.

The Employ NV Business Hub at the Vegas Chamber offices was a first in many regards. It was the first time public workforce development system resources were specifically targeted to appeal directly to local employers in a hub setting . It was also the first time these resources were embedded within a chamber of commerce, placing workforce development staff in the same space as employers needing help.

How microbusinesses are boosting local economies and marginalized groups City planners are trying to better understand microbusinesses and the boost they can bring to a local economy.

The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation is partnering with local workforce development boards to provide training for workers who want to move into high-demand occupations. This pilot project will grant $1 million to pay for training for people who are currently working including classroom training and/or on-the-job training. The program funds come from the state’s Career Enhancement Program funds.

An incumbent worker is a person who is employed and could benefit from upgrading their skills through education and training opportunities. Training in high-demand occupations will include, but is not limited to technology, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare.

These business solutions are targeted to employers and will be offered primarily through the Employ NV Business Hubs.
