The Las Vegas K-9 Foundation (LV K-9 Foundation)
is a local Las Vegas non-profit organization and it's primary objective is to provide a venue suitable for canine educational seminars, shows, trials, and training for conformation, obedience, agility, rally, barn hunt, and fly ball, as well as Meet the Breeds, Canine Good Citizen, and other canine related events and activities in the Las Vegas metropolitan area, which will be named the Las Vegas K-9 Educational and Events Center.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3), the LV K-9 Foundation will be funded by public donations, venue and equipment rentals, primarily to canine-specific organizations and individuals, in-venue event support services fees and fund-raising activities to support its operations and facility acquisition. This facility will be made available to the local organizations at reasonable and affordable rates, providing a safe and suitable space to hold our dog events and dog activities.
The Las Vegas K-9 Foundation has a GoFundMe page now. If you would like to support this much needed venue in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area, please see below :

National Animal Poison Prevention Week
The third full week in March is National Poison Prevention Week, which was started in 1962 by Congress and President John F. Kennedy.
Pets of all ages and species can find poisonous material such as plants, herbicides, fertilizers, and pesticides attractive. Taking time to learn more about what is harmful to pets and how to keep them safe, is time well spent!
There are lots of good resources at their website and page.
From dogs to goats and everything in between, here at the Animal Poison Control Center, we help EVERY animal in need! Check out the top 10 animal species we helped in 2023! Which animal were you not expecting to make the list?

AKC Fetch titles were created as another activity in which owners could have fun with their dogs. Earning AKC Fetch titles provides opportunities for both physical and mental exercise. While some dogs are natural retrievers, AKC Fetch, especially at the advanced levels, will involve teaching new skills such as retrieving.
AKC Fetch is a pass-fail noncompetitive test. The four levels of titles (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Retriever) assess the ability of the dog to retrieve. In the Advanced and Retriever levels, the dog must respond correctly to signals. There is also a memory component in Advanced and Retriever because a retrieving bumper or ball is dropped (or thrown) behind a blind where it cannot be seen.
