🗣️ During , we're shining a light on a critical issue: the intersection of LGBTQ+ rights and human trafficking. 🏳️‍🌈

LGBTQ+ youth are among our nation's most vulnerable populations. They face higher rates of discrimination, harassment, family rejection, and violence, which often lead to homelessness.

🔸Nearly 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+ compared to just 7% of the general population.

In desperate circumstances, many turn to survival s*x or fall victim to traffickers to meet their basic needs. Unfortunately, when LGBTQ+ victims seek help, they often face discrimination or a lack of understanding from service providers.

At Not For Sale, we know that inclusive and empowering services are essential. The U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline reveals that unmet needs and a lack of proper support can lead to re-traumatization and re-victimization, driving them back into trafficking situations.

Join us this month as we share crucial info and resources about protecting and supporting our LGBTQ+ communities. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

✔️There is enough for everyone to be successful, happy, and generous.

✔️When you are happy for others you are giving of your true happiness from within.

✔️Be genuinely happy for others, and watch what happens in your life.

(We should be lifting each other up and cheering each other on, not trying to outshine one another. The sky would be awfully dark with just one star.-Stacie Martin)

Always has been my way throughout my life.

Yes

Life will sometimes lead you in a direction that forces you to question, if not let go of, the way you expected your life to go. And other times it will step in and take from you those things — even those lives — that matter most to you…no questions asked. You could choose to hold onto what is no longer there or even possible, resulting in bitterness, anger, anxiety, and even depression. Or you could realize that true happiness lies in being so strong within yourself that the loss of even your most cherished attachments will not destroy you.

All desires are created out of beliefs about what you need to be happy. This delusional thinking is what leads you to covet your attachments in the first place. And it’s this delusion — the belief that you need the “object of your desire” in order to be happy — that limits your happiness.

To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. If learning to let go is the key to happiness, then let that be your purpose. As the Byrds sang in their famous song Turn, “I swear it’s not too late.”

“Learn to let go, that is the key to happiness”

Small town living:

Sometimes living in a small town is exactly what we need.

This world is too full of stress, rushing around, too much to do in 24 hours , extra time added to work hours due to traffic!
Slow down , de-stress, find a small town near your favorite type of people & places.
Support small businesses and visit our wonderful nature. Won’t need to pay for gyms when you have hikes to go on , boating, swimming , skating most outdoors activities increase your health.
People that are living under less stress are the ones where you find that great “old fashioned customer service “ where people are nice! They’re just happier and therefore nicer vs living under such pressure cookers where it’s almost impossible to be that sweet , going above and beyond personality , nice service we so desire but rarely find in big cities.
These are just a few of my discoveries since moving to my upstate New York town after living in Las Vegas, NV for 40 years. At 64 years old, I now long to get healthy so I can enjoy at least another 10-20 years living in this PEACE that I had so longed for , for so long!

Mostly My hope is for my Chelsea to love this small town stress free life and learn to love nature’s gym , getting more & more healthy by the months. I want Chelsea to enjoy 40 or more years living in peace and happiness in this lifestyle.

When trauma comes your way , They say take “One day at a time”. I learned that sometimes it’s one moment at a time …
All you can do is Just keep moving forward, doing the best you can do (whatever that looks like) one deep breath in , let it out & take one step at a time ☮️❤️☀️

An important lesson in life: show your understanding, patience and compassion ❤️

Sometimes, the depth of our openness and kindness is met with shallowness, not because of what we lack, but because some can only connect as deeply as they've ventured within themselves. Let's be patient and compassionate, for everyone's journey to self-awareness unfolds at its own pace. 🌱 💚

April showers of tears brings May’s hope of new life. ☮️❤️☀️

Time to move forward again with a move from PA to NY. Chel and I are moving to my birth town in central NY state in beautiful Mohawk Valley!

I’ll be living in same town as three of my siblings and of the remaining , two live just half an hour away and other two are 2 -3 hrs road trip at most 😀. My baby brother lives in Vermont & that is on my bucket list - love New England states!!!

My childhood town (Oneida, NY) is 35 minutes away from my new home and my best friend from grade school still lives there. We have always said we’d get back together when old to rock in our rocking chairs on porch, lol. I’m hoping we can do some trips to Oneida lake together. Looking forward to being near some of the best cousins there too that I was so lucky to grow up with.

Chel is excited to get more snow up there , she’s loving the four seasons but wants real seasons & upstate NY will come through with that for her. For the first time in her life , she’ll live near extended family. Was always just her sister, myself and her father but now she will learn what it’s like to have Aunts , uncles, cousins…family not just me anymore 🥰

Yes the month of May brings new adventures & new hope of new & renewed relationships ❤️❤️❤️.
Relationships are what really matter in this life , it’s not our stuff that we’ll be remembered by it’s the memories we share from relationships with others. ☮️❤️☀️

I am on a spiritual journey I never knew possible and it has only reached this level I believe due to my daughters passing over seven years ago. Through this blog I will try to retrace this journey and bring you up to date from times I spent in my life searching for answers. Growing up, I probably would of proclaimed I was a “Christian” as so many people in America claim to be even if they never step foot in church or maybe just go few times a year for the “Christian” Holidays - others go weekly or 2-3 times a week. They go through the actions of church going, only hanging out with other Christians, pray their standard prayers but hardly if ever seek to know God’s Will in their lives. Surface Christians that never asked questions. There are those that talk the talk and then those that walk the walk (few).
I on the other hand wasn’t raised going to church so never really knew much about what it meant to be a Christian, if someone asked me what religion I was, yes, I’d probably say Christian due to everyone around me was in upstate NY and PA or so it seemed in my little world.

When I grew up had children of my own in my thirties , I thought I needed to at least introduce them to spiritual or Bible teachings and let them choose but as I ventured out to my first Non-denominational church , thinking safe from conformity- my then husband fought me at first but then when I kept going each week - he decided to join me (soon to go overboard as always and became “born again Christian “ ). I just wanted to explore but little did I know , he found a way to have more control over his wife and family!
I read just what was in Bible in red letters of what Jesus himself said while here on earth- it felt right with my soul - All Love and disputed those that were judgmental. Jesus claimed we are All of God - I could live with this as I believed in equality and we are all one in God. Pastors taught much more of Bible when My husband changed churches to one of a denomination, which we ended up divorced few years after due to his control issues and my soul never feeling right within our marriage and situation. That church fell apart with pastor cheating on wife, all sorts of issues within, problems followed but I met wonderful friends while there and some very sincere Christians that do walk the walk and seek a spiritual relationship with God.

Not All Christians are the same, please never judge anyone as a group but only by how each treats others -
Always ask, are their actions coming sincerely from a loving soul and heart or from this world of greed and control?

What I had discovered from my time going to these churches off and on in life , even up to a few months after Cassandra’s death is My soul was always seeking God himself, not the Bible, not the Pastor, but a relationship with my higher power and not just praying but a relationship of hearing from my spiritual connection to my higher power! I would go to the sanctuary before work , it would be all empty and I could pray alone and spend a half an hour to seek answers to God’s Will in my life and for those around me I was worried about . I would pray for my family, neighbors, our Government, the world. I would see miracles daily of prayers answered , things I’d pray about & then suddenly someone would say “God placed this upon my heart to ….” and it would be something I was praying for …( if in God’s Will to help that person). I truly saw a glimpse of the ultimate love of God but still had so much to learn and would be years before I found answers that were my awakening of the reality the God a God that loves every one absolutely equally and He gives us free Will completely with Unconditional love. I would say those words but to really know what that means on a soul level is a whole different matter! We truly are all one - one conscious in God so there is nothing we can do to separate ourselves from His love or from eachother. We are not here to judge but to lift one another up & to lift universal consciousness.

It wouldnt be until when Casssandra died , things began to fit together oddly 😢. I knew she had entered my soul and she was guiding me to see things I could not see clearly before. We use to talk prior to her earthly death that she did not believe in my Christian beliefs and I always respected that. So after she died, I missed her so much and needed to know how , where she was! She would send me signs , like one day at work I was so sad and crying , I asked her for a sign and walked into the giftshop on campus and right on wall in her favorite color was a sign that said “ All is well with my soul”. Other times, I’d be overwhelmed and need her or ask what do I do if I’m not your “momma”. A quite peaceful voice like hers from within me said “ you will always be my Momma and I will always be your Sunshine”. She opened myself up to more prayer & meditation daily to hearing from my spiritual guides to learn of the Truth of Oneness of our souls.

This Spiritual journey has not been constant as it has been mixed with my Ego , earthly self confused at times with my sadness and depression over Cassandra’s tragic murder , the three years of the murder trial and then moving Chelsea and I across the country after 40 yrs on west coast- a lot more on earthly level to deal with than some people may ever deal with in a lifetime.

The Spiritual journey continued though through several ways and Cassandra has led me into a whole new spiritual understanding and awareness to where I hardly even recognize the person I was 7 years ago.

June is Mental Health Month

Mental Health is a balance act.
You can be fine one day happy as can be , then something can go wrong or something can trigger you from something that went wrong in past and suddenly you change- you might not even notice it.
Your mood changes , you’re not as excited as you use to be , things start getting on your nerves, you can’t think clearly. As time goes on you may pull away from people you care about and even lose jobs and relationships.
It may not even be a bad situation or trigger , it may be something your born with like imbalances in your brain or something triggered by lack of sleep, stress or what you eat.

Mental health is all about balance and is just as important to manage and talk about as your physical health if not more important. Everyone should have a therapist just as they have a primary care physician.

Please when you ask someone how they are - wait for the answer sincerely.

Healing our souls starts with remembering we are a soul living temporarily in this human body. Healing begins with energy healing as everything from our soul and everything of importance connected to it is from energy. Use energy healing on your chakras to clear them , clear of negative energy so they are open to the new energy and healing from the universe.

I’ve had a real bad MS FLARE this past week and because of it and how much I have gotten away from my spiritual practice of meditation and practicing Reiki , time has come to realize reality of connection of spiritual, mind and physical health.

Welcome to my journey to find my spiritual, physical and mental well being balance where I allow my spiritual higher being guide me into my best human self I can be to enjoy my remaining years with Chelsea and those I’ve come to love , appreciate, enjoy and respect in this lifetime.

Thank you for joining me - please feel free to share your thoughts along the way ☮️❤️☀️
